I know most of these to be true of the lady I have a crush on (plus absolute cuteness of appearance, naturally :D ). Love of animals and being very close to her family, in particular.

So of course, this means you have good taste. ^_^
I believe they're also all true of my crush. I just need to meet her. :prayer:

I have decided I need to accept the fact I am, and always will be, two steps behind reality. For example, I was still buying cassettes when all the artists A through Z were on one short row.

More evidence: The four days the power was out I kept flicking the light switch every time I went in the bathroom. Then, for the first day after the power came back on, I kept grabbing the flashlight every time I went to the bathroom. I am both a creature of habit and a slow learner, lol.

How's that? How am I doing?

It’s a good start. Look at the qualities you’ve shared. Which 3 are most important? Make note of them to yourself and the reason why. How do you benefit?

By correlating qualities to yourself you avoid getting bogged down with superfluous wants which add little to your life. The three represent your core needs. This is where compatibility is established.

Then continue with the rest and do the same. They represent wants and round out the picture. You’ll discover complementary attributes.

Don’t be dismayed if she lacks one of them. Sports are hit or miss. But many support their partner’s interests. They may not be a fan but could enjoy game days or hosting events for you and friends.

Keywords to listen for: tradition, traditional, family oriented, stay-at-home wife/mom, homemaking, decorating, crafts, cooking, baking, picnics, cookouts, and gardening.

Traditional women favor certain activities more than most. When you inquire about her interests and how she spends her down time they’ll come out.

If it makes you feel any better, when it comes to the visual medium, I am still totally down with VHS.

I'm actually a heavily tattooed, beer drinking, beard oil sodden, beanie hat wearing, hipster. People's jaws will hit the floor when I tell them that I'm a Christian. And even lower down when I say that I used to manage a herd of 300 dairy cattle. (Never again.)

Appearances can be deceiving. I've always enjoyed testing perceptions, as you have discovered.

Rest assured though, I am just a standard man. Go to any craft beer taproom, you'll see 40 of me in there. The only giveaway is the London accent.

But no, soon. I'm hopeful that I'll be over before long. I'm usually in NY every July for the Hot dog eating contest (I don't compete, I'm just friends with some of the eaters) but I STILL can't see that happening in the normal way.
Anyone can say they're a Christian. But do you live like he teaches? :tonguewink:

I want craft beer now. I'll pick up some tonight. What are some kinds from NY they might sell by me?

I still like checking out DVDs from the library.

Yeah, go and get your beer.

In Michigan, you MIGHT be able to pick up Other Half. The cans are really contemporary and low key - and if you don't know the brewery, they're hard to spot. But, they might look something like this:

Broc-Phantasy.png

The name is always on the bottom left hand corner in that stupidly small font. The can design changes about three to four times a week, depending on the beer style, so keep your eyes peeled.

You're VERY unlikely to find anything from Hudson Valley - in fact, you'd probably find the Loch Ness Monster sooner. Even in New York it's like hunting down the golden ticket. You've really got to know people who know people to nab a can.

Am I allowed so say this doesn't surprise me at all and that's exactly how I pictured you? LOL Except the part about having been a dairy herdsman. I never would have guessed that. But there do seem to be a lot of people working in agriculture on these forums.

Sounds like a muscle-memory thing. I do stuff like this all the time. I think part of the reason it happens to me is that I'm in my own head too much and don't always pay attention to what I'm doing.

Did you get something else instead?
I got orange Bud Light. I like to theme my drink choice.

It's snowy outside but I don't really like any of the winter beers so went w/ the opposite: oranges are associated w/ warmer climates.

I need a drink. Rough afternoon.

That's fun. I never would have thought to theme my drinks. Is orange bud light flavoured, or is that just the colour of the can?

Hope you feel better. :)

That one woman at work asked me out on a date for tonight. I don't know what she expected my answer to be. She looked pretty sad afterwards and avoided me for the rest of the day. She went home early too, but I cannot confirm if that was because of me or not.

I do find this disappointing. I've been ignoring her the best I can these past few weeks and I thought she'd take a hint. I do know that she was married once.. I want to buy that man a beer and perhaps we could swap war stories. Not sure how she hooked a man on that level in the first place.

She has no one to blame but herself. Nothing practical was ever going to be accomplished and all she did was manage to ruin both of our days. I've been developed a mild headache that has been lingering around all day because of it.

The only credit I can give her is this time she didn't shout this out loud for other people to hear, and kept herself reasonably quiet. Although she invited her friend to come along with her when she asked. Her friend is pretty cool though, she seemed kind of sad for her too.. but she seemed to understand me.

It kinda sounds like she's harassing you. Is she? I've been harassed at work before. It got so bad they ended up firing him. It was awful. I hope she takes a hint and leaves you alone so it doesn't escalate.
