CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, technically, for me, the holidays are over with until March...
But, my boss did invite me to a tamale party around X-mas...
But, I'm not sure yet.

Happy first chilly morning of Lady Winter's season, all. ^-^
As it is my last day off before the next bout of work days, perhaps it is the ideal time and weather for staying inside with my next work of literature to journey through: Toy Soldiers.

So the pizza girl was very accommodating!
She let me photograph the delivery ebikes and put up with my little commercial jabs (I said they changed up on me).
I gave her a little tip and then she turned around and gave me a discount...I didn't even know that they charge now for parmesan cheese and chili peppers!
She was very apologetic because she couldn't find a big enough bag for me...
That's when I said, "No, you did perfect...and you're beautiful...very beautiful."
And then she lit up like Christmas!

I was going to post this in your spiritual warfare thread, but I understand that it is to be deleted, so I will post this here. Hopefully, you will take it in the way I mean it...as a healthy snack for thought:
Well, I'm happy that you are moving on from that tough spot!
Your post made me think of something that was said by a teacher recently, and I paraphrase:
"Remember, even the Messiah didn't say He was the Gardener...He said that He was/is the Vine. And we're definitely not the Gardener, so it is not up to us to cut the other branches out, that's His doing.
So, this is not to say that there aren't toxic relationships happening, where we have to put up some boundaries, but we're to do this leaving a way for them to come back, because we are one in Him."
Of course, this is for professing believers only. Because we can't make that call as to whether or not our peers are truly "saved"...we are at different stages in our walk.
Now, if that person makes no profession of faith in Messiah--well then they are already not a part of the Vine and we should not seek any kind of romantic connection with them at all.
Just some thoughts to chew on.
