I’m doing grand and glad to see you’re well and keeping busy. Work is a blessing right now.

Awesome! Yeah, thankfully even though my field was mostly shut down for a while, where I work, I'm an "essential", so I haven't been financially impacted much at all. Now we're back open full-bore, but with lots of extra disinfecting steps to keep everyone safe. And it's been rather busy since we reopened

Ha ha...I was just reminiscing about the incident that took place right before my last lady and I hooked up.

She hit me over the head with an empty bottle of Southern Comfort...my favorite drink. Evidently, I squeezed her hand too hard, in my inebriation...and here I thought I was being a complete gentleman.

Anyways, without missing a beat, I said, "The bottle didn't break [bleep], try it again."

I was only angry for a bit, because I knew she was somebody great.

But, I never really thought we'd get together...her being quite a few years older than I, and she being a whole different breed of woman than I was used to.


It was a very very interesting, let's just say, time in my life...plunged into a whole new existence...in a strange land...

I don't know what brought these memories upon me...or maybe I do, but just don't want to think about it too much.

I cant figure out why anybody would want to do that to pleasant ole me...

What's even more funny about this is that two of her main reasons for being attracted to me were, first, my tone of voice (I was singing while walking down the street when we met) and, second, that I was an absolute gentleman with her. Never even raised my hand (not even my voice) to her...even after she hit me over the head with that bottle and put a knife to my throat. She was a killer... literally.

In fact, I had an ex before this one, that laid hands on me also.

I just calmly told her that she was fortunate that I am not the type to respond as many other men would have.

My earliest childhood memories were set in an abusive and destructive home.

Some could've chose to follow that example, with no remorse. I didn't, I would as soon hurt myself than to reenact those scenes.

I'm not saying I wasn't effected and haven't had my moments. I'm saying, by His grace I have fought the good fight, against any and all of this world's demons, that have chosen to beset me.

Abba Yah allows what He allows for our benefit...that we may slay the lion and the bear, and be prepared for the giant, so to speak.

Thanks. I had a slump in the summer due to an injury. My number is 150. I’m nearly there. I have to put the gas on.

I didn't do themes so much. I would just pick an insane number and do like a 3 month challenge and then fail miserably because I would start liking something a lot, then taking my time to enjoy it, instead of flying through it as fast as possible

But, really, on the precious days I am allowed to work with her, it will take a lot of other things to go wrong in the lab to make it an overall bad day at work. I would have been there tonight as well while her crew (B crew) is on duty, but, alas, the other available person to cover the overtime in my spot really wanted the extra money for Christmas gifts later on this month, otherwise she said she'd happily let me take it for the sake of indulging my little crush.

LOL The relatability of that image is sad! Last year was a slog because I lowered the goal to 100 books and now I’m racing. I’ve done twice as much. But slowing down is a must. I have other things on my plate. I changed it to 125.

Oh my gosh! I set a yearly goal and I’m doing Boxall’s classic challenge. There’s 1,300 titles on the list. That seemed daunting in the past. Now it isn’t.

I started taking the yearly goal seriously 5 years ago. I’ll end 2020 with 933 books under my belt and cross 1,000 next year. I’ll have to celebrate.
