Please pray for me, everyone. Today at work was a rough day, just one of those where I know I got a lot done but few things seemed to go right. I even had to reel over a seemingly senseless mistake made the day before and someone else got kind of chewed to for it (I apologized to him that my lack of observation in the moment got him in direct trouble instead of me, but still, it was my responsibility). Please pray that less and less days such as this one will happen, that I can have better focus and not cause any trouble for anyone, however unwillingly.

On the plus side, at least, I know I certainly earned my keep today. Sometimes even 18 an hour just ain't good enough.

I just wish I had steadier hands in the midst of chaos. Another 250ml beaker bit the dust today because of my jittery, almost spasm-prone hands. One of those few things that make me seem actually older than I really am. Sometimes I think I was just somehow born with a natural disadvantage for the laboratory setting than others are. But I guess as long as I am still here, I must be good enough to do the job to everyone's general satisfaction, from myself to my bosses to the customer himself.

I've heard Song of Solomon as well.

I think that one might be debated because of the original Hebrew. But I don't know I'm mostly going on what two of the professors I had taught me haha.

I'm also traveling to Europe in the summer, and tried using SuperMemo to learn some French. After 2 days I didn't feel like I was getting anywhere, so stopped using it. Maybe I should give duolingo a try...

I have an older version of SuperMemo on my laptop and really like it, but the new version that I tried using on my phone to learn French uses a different algorithm. The older algorithm seems more effective, but that's also what I'm more used to. It also felt like the program was giving me too many words at once, instead of starting with just a few words a day.

I was mildly surprised to find the results of my employee evaluation today at the HR office. .... They were all the highest score except in one category! It appears I am doing well overall, being at Albemarle again. I am pleased at this turn of events. Still, while Saturday and Sunday went quite well, I seemed to have faltered and forgot/fumbled a few things during my shift today. So please continue to pray for me. Safety is very much a priority in this particular work environment, even in comparison to previous jobs I have had in the lab setting, so I must continue to try to be more careful sometimes. .... Especially now, as while I am pleased with the high results of my evaluation, some other bad news came about today, in that one of my coworkers had suffered a heart attack at home on Saturday, and that was the reason he hadn't come to work that night as expected. It was said that he is recovering, though.

Hmm... we could all hijack the general hobbies and interests forum, and then all the singles regulars that got married could continue to participate in the discussions. (Along with all the other singles regulars.) It doesn't seem like there's many posts over there anyway... so maybe it would be a good thing for singles to invade the forum.

It does seem a little strange to me that after July I will no longer be able to post here. :/ I have seen some good theological discussions and debates in this forum, and it has helped to develop and shape my beliefs over the years. There has been good and bad from this forum, but I believe there has been more good than bad. I think the fact that people here - for the most part - considered each other to be friends, helped to keep the discussions more civil.

Not to mention, this forum has provided reinforcement to my faith during the years of my life when I felt alone in my beliefs and attended church infrequently.

This forum has certainly been used by God in my life. And I'm sure that there will be a new generation/group of Christ-following singles that will fill the forum. It does seem like there are a lot of new members around recently, at least.
