The weather's been all over the place here. Some days are hot, humid and feel more like spring, while others are cold dry and more like winter. It's going to be in the 70s later this week, then a front will come in and it'll drop back down to the 40s during the day.

Well, I am finally doing it. Trying out the Bue Apron food delivery service to start eating more refined - with no fancy Italian restaurant (I know @Anthony7 would approve =P ) around anymore like there was in Houston, there's just no other way - meals at my new/old bachelor pad here in Magnolia. I barely even know what cookware will be required for this kind of thing, but, I suppose I will learn as I go along and see what instructions for prep they send to my door along with the food ingredients. They say any moron can cook with them, but man will it be expensive, especially when acquiring actual cookware needed for this. Hopefully I am up to the task. I will find out when they delivery the first week's worth next Wednesday.

I've heard of those food delivery services before, specifically Hello Fresh. I'm sure they are slightly expensive, yet quite convenient, and I doubt they would require a lot of hardware to make, lol. Anthony7 approves.

The only downside is no cute Italian girls though.

I may not think I'm good-looking now, and I looked better when I was a little kid, but at least I look better now than I did in my late child and early teen years.

Shocked. That's all I can say.

A friend from church called me just now about an armed robbery that happened at a local convenience store I frequently go to each week. On the night it happened, I was at a weekday church service for a sermon and my friend who told me about this gave me a lift home. We stopped at the convenience store first, I grabbed my stuff and we left. Literally seconds to a couple minutes after we left, the armed robbery took place. If I stopped to have a conversation with the cashier like I sometimes do, I could have been shot. I would not know what to do in a situation like that.

I know I have a knack for being at the right place at the right time but holy frick! I may not believe in many near death experiences or modern claims of prophesy and xenoglossia but I certainly do believe in guardian angels!

Been there done that...
Last year I was sitting in a parking lot feet away from a drive by shooting. The day before I was stopped at a stop light when a guy tried to car jack me. Yet another time I was stopped at a train crossing and the car in front of me was hit by the train. Still one more time I was in a semi truck when a motorcycle dumped over in front of us at highway speeds. Yesterday at 1pm a drunk driver hit the guy in front of me on the highway. The summary is that these things happen. Enjoy your life, because dumb stuff happens all the time.
