-Just finished updating my blog a little. Most of my entries didn't have a cover image or any images in the gallery, so I downloaded and uploaded the images. Now all my blog entries with images of new projects have a cover image and gallery!

-Digital art is funny. When I get into working on some I get into the mood for making digital drawings, and when I take a break from it I get out of the mood.

Just caught a nifty little idea for a short story or novella. An underdeveloped child who is late in learning to speak finally bursts out speaking things that he/she has listened and memorized for years. they then turn into some world changing prodigy. needs work on character development and plot, but i think it could work.

That's just sad, I'm at work so cant read all of it but from what I saw it seems kids are being tutored on how to play a video game.

I'm no parent so far be it for me to judge.... but I'd much rather just let my child play the game their way and get them a tutor for their weakest subject in school.... but what do I know?

but if you were the parent you could turn it on its head too.
telling a kid they've got to level up or be disciplined? my hope is the lad would just give up video games at that point and choose to go outside.

in all seriousness though. the mistake these parents are making is that they think video games (even online interactions) are a healthy way for their children to form social skills. /shakes head

Busy day today. Lots of lame pre-employment paperwork and doctor visits starting at 7 this morning, then tracking down my former landlady (I can't believe she is 80 years old and still doing this job) and looking at a few apartments she still had available, then signing up for one of them and dropping 1200 for a deposit and first month's rent (so now I technically live in Magnolia again and not Houston), going ahead and setting up Internet service (couldn't get electricity yet, though =/ ), and decided by this time on my way back home as I passed through Shreveport that I would just call it a day and stay at the same hotel I stopped at on my way up the day before the interview. I had hoped that the same nice lady who checked me in the first time, Elizabeth, would be present at the hotel today so I could let her know that my trip was a success, as we had gotten to conversing during my first visit and she seemed very concerned and encouraging that I would be hired again at Albemarle and be able to go back to the small town I once loved and called home for nearly seven years through my college career and my first year at Albemarle.

So now I am chilling here in a nice little room at La Quinta again and about to continue on with my so-far three year-long trek through Final Fantasy: The Four Heroes of Light on the Nintendo DS, which I kept in my luggage case perpetually and only took out to continue whenever I was travelling and had free time.... Hence why the playthrough is taking so long. But it just sort of became a cute little tradition to only work on my playthrough of this particular handheld Final Fantasy title during travel after I first bought it just to fill downtime during a trip three years ago.

I don't like the idea of censorship.. although in Alex's case it might have more to do with legal problems with libel than wanting to silence him because he has crazy and unpopular opinions.. one can hope..
