I had not remembered that verse. So there is even a Proverb that all but says outright that this kind of behavior in "hunting" that I described is wicked.

In the 70's all week, and then .... feels like less than 30 today.

On the plus side, when this happens, you feel nice and cozy just staying inside and playing video games on a day when the skies are overcast and ice has gathered to form a solid white layer over every car outside your apartment. You feel ... justified for staying indoors that way, only going out long enough to do laundry.

That is completely understandable! And don't be too hard on yourself or anything. The first few times I ever met anyone from online it was very nerve wracking, especially if I didn't know them for a while! For me I tend to like to get to know someone well enough to feel somewhat comfortable with them before meeting. I also have certain guidelines for myself to help reduce my anxiety, such as meeting in a public place that I know well or feel comfortable at. I also let someone else know where I am going, who I am meeting, and what time I plan to be back and if I decide to stay longer to text or call them to let them know. This has helped me a lot. And most importantly, if I don't feel comfortable or safe with someone that it is time for me to leave and I am never obligated to stay. I think someone who is genuine and good for you will be understanding of these things and want you to feel comfortable too so they won't pressure you into anything.

Sometimes I can identify my own special brand of sarcasm when looking at a past conversation, before I even realized it was me who said it.

Here's one I found the time that I was watching a Quentin Tarantino movie (I find them too cringey in dialogue and level of violence to appreciate his "brilliance" as a director =/ ) in Discord with my RPGMMag friends, as we do on Saturday nights:

"Such a gentleman. Kills people for business but still remembers to tip his hat to a lady."
