  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Thank you! ^-^

The other favorite character who lasted that long was Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog. It was the first time he was my favorite character and also the first time I had a favorite character, so it was quite a while ago. I've had 14 favorite characters now; 11 of them were my favorite once, two of them twice, and one of them three times.

He was my favorite for about three years that first time, so Samus still has some ways to go if she wants to beat him. :p
Well I'll admit, Samus is pretty awesome; Tails doesn't have his own gunship, or arm-mounted plasma cannon. ;)

This is as good as it gets when it comes to chocolate.View attachment 230068 View attachment 230069

They have sugar free hersheys chocolates/reeses at drug stores but they contain sugar substitutes that may cause a laxative like effect and are very easy to overeat. So it's better to make chocolate treats yourself and use sugar substitutes that don't cause digestion issues. Stevia is the best when it comes to that but isn't the easy to bake with.
Ohhhhhhhh! Thanks for the info, I didn't know hersheys had cocoa without sugar! I did learn about the issues with sugar free candy long before I went low carb . hahahaha

Measured myself again today. Lost another 4 inches this week. It's really dropping fast!
Congrats!!!!!

How long did it take y'all before you started to see results? I don't expect immediate results, I'm just curious, I know everyone is different.

I usually see double digit weight loss after the first week or two.

Usually it's right away. At first, it is water weight, as when you have high insulin, your body retains a lot of water. When you stop eating that way, your body will start to release that water.

The amount you lose will depend on your weight. Instead of burning glucose as energy, your body will burn the fat stores. That's why they say to measure inches on this diet, because water weight will fluctuate. You'll drink a lot of water and release that water fairly quickly.

I literally noticed changes in my body shape nearly every single day. You're constantly burning fat because your metabolism eats it up like fuel in a car. That's why intermittent fasting has helped me too, because when you have a smaller eating window, that whole time you're not eating is pure fat burning. When you eat, it's still fat burning, but it's the dietary fat you eat.

I think persecution is persecution. Whether it's faith, weight, height, sexual orientation, etc, it's going to matter. Christ said 'how we treat the least of these' is how we treat Him. All of humanity as a whole.

I'm gonna ask this again since this is an honest question:

Do you guys think that Christians who suffer persecution for their disabilities count as the same as Christians being persecuted for their faith? I mean, they get persecuted for being the way God made them. Countless people throughout history suffered because of how people treated them for their disability many of which could not help it.

If God is sovereign in our disability, then shouldn't we be able receive that kind of honor of being martyrs for God?
I believe Christians who suffer for any reason (not caused by disobedience), and remain faithful to God in the midst of their suffering, will be honored highly by God. A Christian who remains loyal to God in the midst of hardship is a very powerful testimony, that pleases God greatly.

Loyal to God as in staying a Christian or not losing your cool?
Like not giving into temptation to abandon God (staying a Christian), and trusting / learning to praise Him in the midst of suffering.

The former I can do but not so much the latter. I fly off the handle so much that I have to be on medication for it.
As long as you don't abandon or forsake Him, I know He will honor that greatly.
