That one woman at work started causing drama again. This time over my farting. Admittedly I've suffered through a lot of gas today.. but every time I passed on gas she'd make a big scene out of it.. even times when I wasn't aware I've done so. Then she'd go around and talk to others about it, although I did hear one defend me and told her she wasn't being reasonable and sometimes people cannot help passing gas. Then she said she told a manager to talk to me.. when I was like fine I don't care.. she was like ok.. I'll tell her not to talk to you. Then later on the day she alluded that maybe I should be fired for stinking the place up.. and I was like.. yeah I'm probably leaving here in a week for an IT job.. then she changed her tune.. and seemed worried and five minutes later said to me.. hey I know someone in my apartment complex I can set you up on a date with.

I'll say today I was a lot more aggressive with her. I came so close to just outright screaming at her. She's so annoying. This past year I've been pretty depressed and timid.. but these last few weeks I've been thinking more for myself and a lot of my old anger is coming back.

I'd have to do that like every 5 minutes. Not to mention it can just come out of the blue.

I can understand if someone finds this story funny.. but I didn't see her making a joke about it. I have no problem with her talking to me about it being discomforting.. she didn't need to blab it to everyone else.

I told her I didn't have a sense of smell or a concept of a fart and the range it has, not to mention I literally can't control when it happens. Especially when I'm walking somewhere. Also if I hold it in my stomach can get very sick.

If I do get called into the office over this nonsense I think I'm going to quit right then and there.

I mean what is a range of a fart anyways? Can people smell their own farts? When she yelled at me the first time.. I honestly wasn't even aware I let out gas. When one never smells.. their brain probably thinks very little about these things.

Yeah, that's interesting.

I'd say, try to keep at least a six foot radius.

Kinda like the 19 thing.

The greater the radius the better.

So is it unpleasant when you yourself farts? Do you have to get out of the area? Are your own farts as unpleasant as other people's farts?

You might find this funny.. but I am genuinely curious.

That's another question I have.. do masks help filter out the unpleasant smell? We are also required to wear face shields on top of our masks.

Really...where, at your place of employment?

There are just so many variables involved, mostly concerning diet.

But, I would imagine that the smell would be somewhat dampened by the mask...again, this is variable depending on material, design, and usage.
