  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Lol, I hope my post did not come off as sexist or anything. For the reverse I sympathize with women who are worried about being with men that will influence and change them.

I remember once watching a documentary about Hitler. They had a segment where they were discussing his pattern for having younger dumb women as partners, specifically Eva Braun. Hitler said that he preferred young and dumb women because he was worried that an intelligent woman would influence his work. While Hitler is obviously bad and no on take this the wrong way lol, he is worth noting as a man who thought for himself and didn't care what was politically correct. With that in mind some of his quotes do express a deep and honest side to human thought and desire.

My daughter picked this up from the bakery.
Champagne Brioche loaf with a crumb topping. :happyblush:

We usually have panettone on Christmas with coffee. But this year we’re trying something different.

The importance of a wife to a man's success, or failure, cannot be overstated.

I can identify 7 of the 10 reasons listed here and apply them to my (ex)wife.

Most people would see themselves on both lists. Gender is a factor but personality is a bigger influence. However, the headlines are pretty telling.

10 MISTAKES MEN MAKE IN MARRIAGE

7. YOU DON’T CONFIDE IN YOUR WIFE

Not confiding in their wife is another common mistake most men make in marriages. Your wife is supposed to be your gossip partner and the one you confide in. She wants to be included in your entire world.

Sometimes men learn the hard way that the private things they share with their wife/girlfriend, are also being shared with their girlfriend's or wife's friends and family.

Here's a tip for the guys on here:
If the love of your life is telling you private details about her friends, their relationships, and their partners, for goodness sake keep your mouth shut, because there's a fair chance that your girlfriend/wife will share what you tell her with those same people. And if she's a girlfriend, and you're considering marrying her, you might want to think again.

Proverbs 11:13

Everyone needs someone to lean on. Whether that's a friend, pastor, prayer partner, or member of a bible study or Christian group. People share intimate things with those they trust.

I keep a lot to myself and that has its drawbacks. Instead of telling a friend I talk to him. Watching me work through difficult things can be hard. Especially when I'm trying to make sense of my feelings. But I feel certain subjects shouldn't be discussed without his knowledge.

A proactive approach to the dilemma is establishing boundaries early on. Be honest about the things you're comfortable sharing and those you want to keep private. That alleviates surprises. Or choose a trusted couple as your confidants.

Playing Horizon Zero Dawn. Thus far.. the white blond hair kid is an over the top jerk and the black woman is friendly and a voice of reason. Definitely SJW input in this game.. lol.

Sometimes I feel the Lord is preaching on my Facebook feed. I get the oddest messages. They're too pointed to ignore. Maybe if I listen He'll stop. :asd:

Kind of curious as to an example of such preaching, now. ^-^
