  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think I'd have to share a lot of my feelings to explain it, lol..

I mean.. maybe a short answer.. I've been very emotionally open it the past, but it doesn't seem to make me feel any better in the end. It's more of a temporary relief.

I had heard that actor John Witherspoon died, today. I hope that I gave him the proper send-off by doing an impression of his old-gruff-dad character from Friday for my coworkers just now.

Thank you to everyone who offered prayers the other day. I still haven't been contacted by my family up north, but presume that's because everything went okay and he's recuperating; I don't want to put any pressure on them right now. If complications arose or if something went wrong, they would usually let us know right away.

I'll be sure to provide an update when I can.

Just saw he posted an update online, and seems to be doing a lot better now. I think he'll be back home shortly, and just needs to focus on recovery for awhile. Thanks again for the prayers everyone, it means a lot.

I personally prefer going the TP route (rather than throwing eggs) when seeking personal vindication, but that's just me.

I thought that story sounded ... well ... extremely fishy. Almost satirical.

Snopes, at least, rates it as a false scare.
