Counting my blessings.
I may not think I'm good-looking now, and I looked better when I was a little kid, but at least I look better now than I did in my late child and early teen years.
Some of the things I said and did online during my early teen years (my first years speaking to others online) are so embarrassing to think about now. I may not be perfect now either, but I'm thankful that I'm generally more careful and thoughtful in my interactions.
Having persistent anxiety is no fun, but at least I'm not dealing with school at the same time. My time not having to go to public school anymore would have been a lot better without it, but if I'd started having it while I was still in public school I never could have made it.
Shocked. That's all I can say.
A friend from church called me just now about an armed robbery that happened at a local convenience store I frequently go to each week. On the night it happened, I was at a weekday church service for a sermon and my friend who told me about this gave me a lift home. We stopped at the convenience store first, I grabbed my stuff and we left. Literally seconds to a couple minutes after we left, the armed robbery took place. If I stopped to have a conversation with the cashier like I sometimes do, I could have been shot. I would not know what to do in a situation like that.
I know I have a knack for being at the right place at the right time but holy frick! I may not believe in many near death experiences or modern claims of prophesy and xenoglossia but I certainly do believe in guardian angels!
Glad you're safe and that you weren't there at the time, you have a mighty God watching out for you (even though His angels have probably emptied a couple bottles of Tylenol by now, jk.Shocked. That's all I can say.

No problem. =) I'm not actually Jewish; I became a non-denominational Christian about 9 years ago. However in recent years, I've developed a strong interest in Jewish culture, especially regarding both their major and minor feast days. I see the culture in general as pointing to Yeshua and having deep symbolism, which really piqued my interest.Thank you for the warm welcome Anthony. I noticed your image. Are you Jewish?
That's good to hear that he was caught! The guy has been caught. He was robbing several gas stations throughout my town. I think he was waiting for me to leave first so he could do it without many witnesses. My church's security cameras manage to get a good image of his car which was an uncommon model where I live.
Indeed, you can definitely see God's grace and omniscience woven in to their very culture. It's a beautiful culture. I was raised Roman Catholic and spent many years looking for the Lord in different faiths. I found my way back to Him and Christ through Judaism. I arrived agnostic and nearing atheism. But they loved me Home.
Do you attend services or High Holy Days in your community?
Hey, she sounds familiar. Could it be a returning face ....?
Yeah, I didn't remember seeing her around before. There's been a couple new members posting in Singles off and on I've noticed.Ah, no, my mistake. You do appear quite new to this community. Welcome, @LaBèlla . *bows*
