Oh, you're still in the states? I thought you moved to Mongolia in AsiaWell, one of the last quality time moments I had with Mama Knight before moving away this Thursday morning (my final trip back to Magnolia, AR) was ... going through Sharknado 4 and 5 together in the den earlier tonight.
And ... just ... wow. I had nothing to do with the Sharknado franchise before tonight outside of seeing the very first film once shortly after it first came on TV (2013, I think it was?). She went to bed somewhere towards the 1/3 mark through Sharknado 5, and the only way I made it through the rest of the fifth movie - which involved portals to other nations located within the tornadoes, and Stonehenge, somehow, mind you - was with a half liter of Malibu coconut rum.
Man, the first movie was one of those "so bad it's good" types, but these two I saw tonight were trying way too hard to be that that it just turned out too crazy to be enjoyable. All the better movie references (like Wizard of Oz and Christine) being subtle as a falling piano and layed on way too frequently to be funny or clever, for one. And Tara Reid became a weaponized anti-shark cyborg as I somehow managed to basically predict before it even happened.
Well, without going into a long spiel all I can say is, if this is the best Tara Reid could do after seemingly becoming washed up with Alone in the Dark fifteen years ago ... then I'm happy for her. At least she'll be remembered likely fondly some way before she dies.
Tallulah is staying with me tonight, also, as a last bit of "quality time" together. And tomorrow night, my last night before permanently moving off, I believe Angel the dachshund from next door will be staying with me. I never thought I would say this when I first moved to Houston at my mother's request three years ago, but, I will actually miss the both of these dogs a lot. If I were confident that Tallulah would be okay staying in a new place alone while I am at work at Albemarle every day soon, and it weren't against the Chateau Apartment rules to have pets (although I doubt Ms. Pinner really checks often to see that her rules are being followed anymore these days, seeing as she is 80 years old), I would actually take Tallulah with me. Maybe I should try a rabbit in a cage or some goldfish?
