I had a dream that I just woke up from:

I have no idea where I was, but it was in a hallway of sorts.... there was writing on the wall for to push for the Muslim faith. After one of the Muslim leaders for the group passed by he touched my shoulder. A short time later after this man left a Christian minister walked through talking down on the Muslim faith and talked about how he hopes to see every body on Sunday and spoke down on the Muslim faith.

I stood up and said "Their theology is definitely a deadly pitfall in not having Christ. However, when was the last time WE got down on our face before God? When was the last time WE reached out to a brother or sister in love with a gentle hand? How often do WE as an individual or as a church look down on those with a lesser theology? We have the light..... but what do we do with that light? Is all we do with that light to better see others and judge them by what we see as a Pharisee or do we actually DO something with that light to further His kingdom and spread that light?

In which the man became IRATE almost frothing at the mouth.

I woke up a short time later with two things on my mind:

1) We really need to stop arguing about our theologies..... yes I highly disagree with many "Christians" in this world on many of their views...... Some of these beliefs I myself held at one point or another, but its so easy to get lost in our pride in arguing our theology. When pride enters the argument, I believe the Spirit and love are no longer in that conversation.

It is what we do with the truth that we have that matters. Not that we use that light to judge others, but that we let that light shine through us. Not that we "convince" others in the ways of man how to see truth. Only God can open the heart of a man/woman and let truth take hold. God reveals all to us, we do nothing.

As I have heard it said " I don't agree with Catholicism, but if I look at mother Theresa. She did so much more with the light she had, than I have done with the light and truth I have been given". Even IF I have more light and know more theological truth....... What have I done with that truth? Is it not said that the one that has been given more, more is expected?

IF we, any of us, can look at a brother or sisters theology is flawed, we shouldn't attack them on the differences.... we should look at as much as we can on their life and what they have done with the light they have been given...... especially if they have done more for the Kingdom with their flawed doctrine than we with our truth.

2) Not loving correction, God knows there have been times when I have been like the minister in my dream. Too wrapped up in pride and anger to hear the words of truth spoken to me that in correction would improve me rather than bring me down.... where I hated the correction and instead of listening fell into my anger and pride.

God knows I have stumbled at times in dealing with the tools He uses to mold and shape me.

I have been angered by abrasive people, but God simply uses them to sand my rough prideful edges.
I have hated the hard times, but God uses those times to strengthen me.
I have loathed the moments that nearly broke me, but the Lord is close to the broken and the crushed in spirit.

I need to keep these things in mind when I am corrected, shaped, molded. Whether my role is to be "me" in my dream... and offer correction OR I am the minister in my dream and I am the one being corrected.

It's only cliche until the penny drops. I don't believe in third-eye theology, but there is a sense of "the lights coming on" once you realise that what you're trying to be is actually the LAST thing you'd ever actually chose to be if your heart was the organ doing the talking.

Yes, exactly.
I think it's just another stage of growing up and maturing. It's one thing to identify who you are, it's another to decide that you are going to embrace that all aspects regardless of outside influences or what you think you want to be.

Something that can be hard to remember is that it's not what you look like on the outside that matters, but it's what is in your heart that matters. You can have good looks but be ugly on the inside; likewise, you can look homely but be beautiful on the inside. Character is important.

Vacation was nice, but I missed having air conditioning. I also missed my projects, in various states of completion.

Also, I've decided to get back in shape. No more snacks, no more than 1 sugary drink per day, more bicycling, and lifting weights every other day.

Perhaps I should spend the next hour or so outlining a budget for my next several months spent in Magnolia. It could not hurt, as I actually got a place that is very expensive considering Magnolia is such a small town (it's just that any searching I did outside of the former landlady I already knew turned up decrepit-looking places with bad reviews), and the monthly rent alone will account for around 40% of what I will take home every month from Albemarle. I should try to make it so that I set aside at least 250 dollars a month in savings, especially considering the costs I still have to look forward to associated with moving out of the country later.:mmh:

Still, electricity and Internet will probably not be more than 200 a month together even I use both utilities as frequently as I have been doing. And car insurance should surely be cheaper than now, too. They really raised the rent on me there as soon as I bought Claire about this time last year. Hmm.

... Sorry, just thinking out loud. Apparently I am already doing my budget as I am typing out this post. ^_^
