I play bass (and very occasionally, guitar). I don't sing as we're there to lead people in worship, not drive them away, which my singing would do.

No, I do not suffer from this problem anymore, thank God. But the memories of the pain are still distinct enough to where I can still sympathize with those who are currently going through it.

Sadly, he never gives up. Which is why from the moment we are saved til the moment we die we must remain vigilant as warned many times in the Bible, its sadly not something we do once and done.

Acts 20:28-30..... As we are told, our struggle is not against flesh and bone but the powers of this world. IF Peter can be used by Satan (Matthew 16:22-23), how much more can anyone else be deceived and used by the enemy?

It is why we must always be vigilant so we do not fall. When we DO fall it is important that we rise and continue forward in our faith. If we don't remain vigilant than we run the risk of being devoured.... 1 Peter 5:8 and IF we are not careful we may not finish the race we started. Philippians 3:12-14, Galatians 5:7-8, Matthew 24:13 etc..

Just an update on my prayer request the other night... I GOT THE JOB!!!! Not as good of pay I was making buuut have the opportunities of becoming an assistant manager of the service team due to my nearly five years experience... God is Good !!!
