Hybrid media fast this upcoming week. I got my CDs from the library. Sunday will be my last night for internet or movies.

I will do that for the next 3 weeks except for weekends. Trying to prioritize and get into a regular discipline of doing my studies instead of cramming before bible study on Tuesday. Just an FYI in case anyone notices me not visiting.

One of the guys asked me the other night, "Will there be bacon?" I just looked at him like he knows me better than that.

False alarm. I've more than less sacked this off now.

She was obviously very interested but there's something MUCH bigger going on in her life, and that's her 8 year old son. His dad has already vanished into the wild blue yonder - without even so much as an explanation, so he's naturally become very dependent on his mother.

SHE might be over him and ready to move on. But the boy isn't it seems - and he needs stability right now. She didn't actually say that, but - come'on, this is NOT my first rodeo. I'm not stupid or wet behind the ears. I don't need to put someone on the spot and ask awkward, insensitive questions.

It's my number one golden rule. Even IF the two of you hit it off seriously well - when there's children involved, the children must always come first.

Of course, I wouldn't be a negative influence on him. But that's not the point. He's got some healing to do. He needs an easy life for a bit.

I'm sorry to hear that things didn't go in the direction that you were hoping. But it sounds like you were able to discern what the priorities are at hand. Her children. Prayers about future discernment and the doors of opportunity will open whatever the Lord's will is.

You as well! Just spent some valuable time with my step dad discussing my retirement and getting things situated with my different accounts. To be discussed at a later date and now off to errands. Looking forward to getting some stuff for the garden but first off will be Starbucks for some tea.

Everyone have a most blessed week as I will be prioritizing some things. Prayers appreciated for me getting back into the word and not doing these Marathon Bible study catch UPS right before my zoom session of Bible study.

I'm a firm believer in timing and why you meet certain people. There's something to learn from every experience, so I'm not going to get cut up about it. She still messages me, but I have a good sense for this sort of thing. She's emotionally unavailable, so the last thing she needs to be dealing with is even MORE conflicting emotions.

It's best I step right back.

Aww, super cute I wish one of these onion heads had a girl in a dress and does a twirl. That's the kind of cuteness I would express it as.
