I drew comics in Grade school after reading the Captain Underpants books. I often drew comics of my dog since he was an intellectually slow dog I loved dearly.

Art is so subjective that luck and timing tend to be more important than actual skill.

Maybe.. as for my art.. I tried creating a unique art style.. think I succeeded. Thing about art, I think if you want to be noticed you have be unique and fresh. Postmodern art was like that for a time.. but even that's been beaten to death.. lol.

To be honest, I wouldn't exactly call myself an artist. I prefer the term 'cartoonist' because I tend to focus more on humour than graphics like most newspaper comics. Ideally you want both but some people have priorities when it comes to what they want their artwork to achieve.

Cyanide & Happiness are basically stick figures who manage to win over the internet with its humour. Before that comic strip, some of the cartoonists working on it like Rob DenBleyker made stick animations on Newgrounds. Even those animations like Joe Zombie managed to get a fan base because of their captivating plots and cool action the early versions of Flash could produce.

MTV = Despicable reality shows and adult cartoons.
History Channel = Cryptozoology and conspiracy theories.
The Learning Channel = Honey Boo Boo.
...And now Discovery Channel = Reality shows and pseudoscience.

Call me crazy but I think I'm starting to understand why Netflix is only growing in popularity...

In my adolescent years I got into comic books and started my own series, which was a rip-off of X-Men. Probably made about 50 issues. It was fun!
Don't bother looking for them, they've all been destroyed

If I ever watched anything on an actual tv instead of YouTube, it was only stuff from Netflix.

Hey, that's cool. In my early childhood and teen years I dabbled in creating (what I had hoped to be) a coherent series of stories based around a family of people of varied species of creatures called the Rodchester family, in which most of them weren't even related to one another by blood, but were called so because they were destined from the beginning of time by ... I guess God ... to be protectors of the planet Earth from all forces of Evil set out to conquer and/or destroy the world. They all lived in some obscure country at the tippy-top of the northern hemisphere called Frostenia, benevolently ruled by Princess Kitty Paige Rodchester. .... And I ripped off just about every work of fiction in the so-doing that you could think of from the 90's.
