CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So here's something weird.
Last month I bought some CDs as part of a Black Friday sale from a store that I've bought from before and everything happened just as it did previously. I paid using PayPal and subsequently received a notification that my order had shipped (it hasn't arrived yet, but that's not surprising as it's probably sitting in the black hole that is customs).
But there's one strange thing - the money has yet to come off my credit card. The payment shows up on my PayPal account, as do other payments I've made since then. Those payments also appear on my credit card, but not this one for the CDs.
So I'm not really sure what to do. I effectively haven't paid for those CDs and I kind of feel like I should sort that out. But on the other hand, the CDs wouldn't have shipped if the store didn't have a record of having received the money, so has anybody actually lost out?

Yeah, usually a site won't pull money until it has been shipped, but maybe it's waiting until delivery. That happens sometimes.

Sometimes there is a delay with Paypal where the purchase will show up on your Paypal account but won't actually post to the account that it is linked to for another day or two.

I debated whether or not to use that word, but in the end I went with it, thinking "Saucy's not going to comment on it". I should have known better.
They ship using regular post, meaning that there's no way for them to know when delivery takes place. So that's not it.

It's perfectly normal.
What happens is, even if you have a bank account or card connected to PayPal, is PayPal basically credit the order and then bill you after the fact. It typically takes 3-7 days to show up.
Source: I buy far too much stuff and PayPal payment is faster than putting in my bank details on sites I don't have it saved on

Ahh that's odd. Maybe it has been buried in your card payments? Either way I'm sure they'll take the money that's owed to them, albeit very delayed.

Watching the second season of Bill Nye Saves The World on Netflix. Like the improved 4k quality (although seems to have a more 4k TV quality compared to more serious film looking 4k on Netflix, lol).
