Here's what you should do: tip over at a Walmart and sue the place for $10 million. Boom, instant awareness! You said running.
lol Anywhooo.
OMM: For my new years "goal", I believe I'm going to start back on my quest of trying to figure out God's purpose for my life. I know He laid it on my heart to bring awareness to others about SB and the lack of help for those in wheelchairs, but I need to figure out how I'm going to do this.
I made a few documents a couple of months back of my own research of houses on the market that are labeled "handicapped accessible", and I need to find those. I went state by state, county by county, and found that these houses deemed accessible either had no roll in shower, no pictures of the bathroom(s) entirely, or were over 200k. A lot of counties in states didn't even have houses marked handicapped accessible. It just makes me wonder where are all these people living? I know it's not just me in the world who has SB or a similar disability. I want to create a world for people just being born to have somewhere to go, to live, to feel accepted in.
Anywhoooo. I guess I'm leaning toward starting my quest at figuring out a rough estimate of how many disabled people there are in the world by looking at census and all that jazz. Then doing a new estimate on how many houses there are that are truly for a wheelchair user. So we'll see.
Anyhow. That's what's on my mind. Also food. Food is also on my mind, I'm hungry!
