Well, here goes nothing. Tomorrow afternoon I meet the lovely Marina for a lunch date. However casual its intention, this is still a first for this lone knight. Everyone, especially @LadyOfMystery and @YankeeGirl, since I believe you both know a bit more about my feelings on this kind of thing than others, I ask that you please pray for me that Marina and i will get along well together no matter how our friendship goes from here, and that I also never fail to be a humble and loyal gentleman around her.

You'll be fine Just relax and have some fun getting to know her. Chances are that she'll be a bit nervous too so don't overthink anything. What I find helps me to relax is to put no expectations on the date. Just think of it as a fun evening to go out on a date with a pretty girl and spend time with her. I hope you guys have a nice time

I saw it opening night.

It was pretty good. Not one of my favorites though.

I had a guy beside me spend more time on his cellphone then watching the movie.

I missed a part of the movie because I made the mistake of drinking a large Pepsi. I really had to go so I went to the men's restroom only to find a note on the door saying that it was closed for clean up. I was like, "Are you kidding me?!"

Also to that dude: You paid up to $14.00 to watch a movie for two hours and twenty minutes. Don't you think you can put down your cell phone for at least that long? It's not like your friends will think that you're dead and set up a memorial page for you on Facebook.

I love moments when I just kind of..reflect on what He's done for me in the past and even recently..and it's honestly like a warm, comforting embrace. To feel His love in a nano-second and that immensity just hits and it's so overwhelming that tears start to well up. Tears of gratitude and contentment to actually know that He loves you. I don't know..it was just a sweet reminder today as I kind of had a very bad day this week that left me really discouraged. But the little and big things He does feels like He's saying: 'Don't give up'. 'Keep going'. 'Don't be discouraged'. 'I've got you in the palm of my hand'. 'And I will never forsake you'. TT u TT

Also excited because I bought a journal that's literally titled.. 'The book of me'. xD. Now before you think it's pretentious.. let me just tell you..I know. I totally think it's pretentious as well . Actually it's more of those Q&A questions you answer for fun, like 'what's your favorite color'? Except these questions are more lengthy/complex and more thought-provoking. Plus it was cheap. So..that was a no-brainer purchase

One time I went to the movies with my two sisters in law and one of them was new to our family so I decided I wanted to sit between them and not have her left out. I'm not gonna lie I since I was irritated by the continual checking of the phone I looked at what he was doing.

All he would do was scroll through old conversations with no new messages and flick between old pages on apps. He was just a fidgeter, which irritated me all the more.

Honorable of me to peek? Nope but I was mad lol

Awe, I hope the weather warms up for you as well. Just work, Church, and grocery shopping. Perhaps mall shopping with family although I doubt I'll buy anything. I'm just there to window shop

Currently sitting in the exact spot where I proposed to my girlfriend in the summer of 2010. It's a quaint little rose garden in the middle of nowhere, and to me back then, it was like heaven on earth.

Now? It's just a reminder of how very different the 2017 version of me is from the 2010 version. And my definition of what happiness was then, is like the difference between night and day now.

I'm experiencing a really cool feeling right now. It's bitter sweet in a way, because a part of me will always wonder what could have been (she did say yes ). But the majority is immensely greatful for the journey God put me on.

I wasn't a Christian in 2010, and now with the beauty of hindsight I can see His involvement with real clarity. And I am exactly what I need to be.

No point to this post really, but if you're a newer Christian, give this a try too. Go back to a place you haven't been to in years and reflect. See if God has left you a message or two.
