CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well it's not a kids movie. It's made for teens more than young adults but young adults can still like and relate to it imo.
Didn't bomb, but I'm also not a film critic lol I just like what I like.

I'm more excited for the Captain Underpants movie. I read the books in Elementary school and those were the books that got me into making comics.
I used to have a five-year old boy live next door and I was going to use him as an excuse to go see the movie when it came out. He moved away a couple years ago so I only have my friend to go see it. It's going to be awkward trying to explain myself...

That's funny you should say that, a huge group of us in Elementary school used to make comics because of Captain Underpants too. The humor in those books was great aha - we all couldn't get enough of it.
The comic I made was called "Pencil Man". My mom still has it somewhere, I'll see if I can scan it sometime.

I feel this one's a representation if you live in the country in Canada. City looks much like the States but the country is a lot like in this vid.

OMM: Saw the new Power Rangers movie in theatres today
I just saw Beauty and the Beast yesterday and I then saw the preview for the Power Rangers movie. I laughed when I heard it was coming out but after seeing the preview, it actually looks pretty good. Glad to hear you liked it though.

But for reals... it's magical LOL. From the plot to the songs it is almost exactly like the original cartoon. Because I'm such a Disney purist, I enjoyed that aspect.

Coming to terms with the fact that I'll probably never be allowed to join the military *sigh* I've wanted to since I was 15... grandfather was in it, brother was in it... runs in our genes.
But since I have paranoid schizophrenia and have to take medication for it, even though it's proven I'm mentally stable while on medication, they still won't let me join. The recruiter I spoke to over the phone told me it would be because of the medication...can't have a dependency like that...
I'm sure God has other plans for me, and I am potentially going to school here soon for something else I enjoy (computer programming) but it just doesn't feel good to be told no based on something that's not in my power to change.
It's just odd because I was so sure that was my destiny in life, that I would be in the army and help people in that way... it just fits my personality so well. I felt (and still feel) called to it.
I guess feelings are feelings? Heart is deceitful, etc? I don't know, frustrating though.

I really enjoyed the Disney one as a kid, watched it so many times (along with a large number of other Disney movies like most people our age)
