  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

For now on my family doesnt want me using the top rack in the stove anymore to avoid hitting the heating element again.
Whatever keeps ya safe. : ) I might buy a timer that makes a noise when it's finished cooking. I live alone so I kinda have to.

Did you notice how Shinjuku is worse than Amsterdam for ladies with 'red lights' and guys down side streets offering various 'stuff'?

Call me naive, but it honestly caught me off guard.
I didn't do a whole lot there. Like I blew through shinjuku, harijukj, nakano, musashisakai, etc. But I usually stuck with my Okinawa friend and his other friend who came from Hawaii as I did. We kept it pretty simple and didn't go anywhere iffy per say. We did see some of that but it was like I never played tourist there too much. 90 days+ I guess does that. I've never been to Europe thus far. I can imagine Japan can be pretty perverse though since culturally such stuff is deemed ok within a variety of circumstances.

I see you there rating my post as "Prayers." :nono: Speaking of which, are they really just going to leave it as the word prayers and not put some form of praying image? Very aesthetic...

Looks like they fixed it.

I watched Memoirs of a Geisha recently which caused me to read up on Japanese customs, and read that traditionally, infidelity was widely practice and accepted, sex was not really apart of marriage, if I read it correctly.

This is sums up why I'm not a fan of the classic Disney Princess movies, I get that it's probably not their intention by any means, but they don't have the best messages for young girls.

I kind of like the Pinoy view where the guy "owns" the girl. Although that doesn't preclude the guy from cheating--it does help one sort of see greater commitment in the whole thing.

If women can be open and blunt (without caring if other short men hear about them gushing about taller men) about what she finds physically attractive in a man, equality (and apparently feminism means equality, so it's a feminist act) dictates that men can also be blunt (without caring if a 30s+ women hears them gushing about 20 something women) and open about what he finds physically attractive in a woman.

That's equality. That's feminism. The women who try to have these double standards where women can do it but men shouldn't are actually anti-feminists. Lol.

I'm not content being single right now. I was and then...suddenly I wasn't. Does it generally just kick on like a generator? Lol. I'm more ready than I've ever been. I got my life straight. I'm consistently losing weight and feeling good. Maybe I should try eHarmony or something?

Iunno I'll go through phases myself where I'm like "nah I'm content being single" or "it's better you remain single for xyz reasons" when in reality deep down I'm not really content at all nor ever was.

If you're in a good spot I say go for it... if online dating works for you then good. I really need to start dating too... been single for a long, long time... doesn't feel healthy.

Yeah I hear ya. I don't care where I meet her really. I almost prefer it was online so we could go slower and get to know each other better that way.
There's a free site called Christiandatingforfree. Could try there before going to a paid site. If your city's like mine you'll find a couple of women in your area, but that's about it. So you'll have about 5-10 women in your area that are still active on the site.

When your on that site, whoever you're looking at, just make sure their still active... it allows you to sort through the people who have been active recently, or automatically does it or something when you specify women to your area.

It's like a one shot deal though since there's typically only a few women in your area active, so make your profile good haha.

Also be prepared to get messages from a lot of women in the Philippines. Iunno if it's they're scammers or if there's just a load of women from the Philippines on that site.

Back in my Christian days I tried Christiandatingforfree. Although there were pretty much nothing in my area, I made some great international friends through it. A couple of my friends there also got married finding each other there.

Beware of some of the Fillipinas there though, some have hidden agendas.

@Saucy you could also try InterPals. Although it's not a dating site, it provides a good opportunity to met and develop friendships, which could always lead to something more. There are quite a lot of Christians there. If you open the search and keyword 'Christian', 'Jesus', 'Bible' or something similar, you will get some results.

Have you ever heard a woman irl ever say "oh my gosh I love such and such he's so tall" or anything like that? I'm not saying they don't say it, because of course they do, but have you personally heard it or anything similar to it irl? Or is this all online and typically because you're out searching for it - "looking for a fight" as they say?

I'm just saying on my casual day-to-day, I don't typically hear women's conversations and if I do I can safely say I have either never or almost never heard them talk about that. They usually keep girl stuff amongst themselves privately... in the same way men keep guy talk amongst themselves privately.

Not tryin' to pick at ya, just saying man... from a short(er) guy to another short(er) guy.

I hear it.

Didn't know that post actually posted. CF has been very glitchy today.
