CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not a good night. My boyfriend made a comment today on how we're no where near ready for marriage, so I straight up asked him about all the things he's been saying lately hinting at engagement. At first he denied even doing it, but finally a very angry Ariel cracked him and he goes "well it was just nice watching you get excited over the thought of marrying me. It felt good." So he was just toying with me for an ego trip. That feels great. Like I said, were not ready for marriage and I know that, but I don't appreciate the mixed messages and being led on just so you can feel super loved and important.
On a positive note, I just got an offer to do my first sponsored video on YouTube!!

Yeah, it wad still an ego thing. But quite normal. It was just self preservation on his part.
Do what you love and do what you need to do to make it work. Staying in full time work probably won't work for you.

Part of me wants to completely shut the outside world out so I have no idea what's going on the world, part of me says that's bad and I should stand up and fight, the other part says to just leave the country.

Actually, over the last 7 years or so I've managed to weed out 99% of political posts. My Facebook feed is almost entirely political posts free!

It's really not that difficult, it just takes time. Here's how...
If you go to your Facebook news feed, you'll notice a downwards pointing arrow at the top right hand corner of posts. If you click on that arrow, you'll see options such as "Hide Post (see fewer posts like this)" "Unfollow ____" and if it's an article or video from a source "Hide all ______ from ______" and click which option you would like. If you click unfollow, you'll stop seeing posts from that person entirely, but they won't be removed from your friends list. The first option is what I almost always used and over time, Facebook learned that I don't want to see political posts on my news feed.

Take this for example...
- If I wanted to see fewer posts from late night talk shows, I'd click "Hide post"
- If I hated Jimmy Kimmel I could click "Hide all from Jimmy Kimmel Live"
- If I wanted to completely stop seeing posts from this person, I'd click the middle option.

Haha- even better- im being compensated with a dress of my choosing of $150 or less. I'm super pleased about this because I had already picked a dress from their site I was going to buy for this years formal and now I don't have to pay for it!

I'm so sorry! I feel so bad for my part in getting all excited over this. I hope Mr. Peanut Butter and Chocolate is right in saying he's just trying to cast doubt, but has something planned.
