Honestly, as far as I know, we aren't ready for marriage. There is one big thing that has to happen before then, and unless he just hasn't told me, it hasn't happened yet. Though he has made hints about that too.

Men are so mysterious and vexing.

Sounds as if he's testing the waters and looking for a reaction. OR, he's looking to just buy you a little gift.

But my guess is the former. It's a sort of phase test or pre-proposal. If he gets the green light, he'll go for it, if not, he'll wait or not do it at all.

Men question- my bf told me that he had gotten my ring size one day when I fell asleep around him and that I was a size 6.

I checked myself and I am in fact a 6/6.5.

I flipped out a little so I googled it and found 6 is the most common ring size for women.

Based on also being a male, do you think
1) he actually had taken my size
2) he was making a guess in hopes of figuring out my size
3) he's trolling me
4) other

After reading your other posts, my reaction is similar to others. I'm not sure why he would be trolling you on this? It sounds like he is legitimately thinking about marriage. I think what concerns me a little is that if he asked today, you wouldn't feel 100% right about saying yes, so maybe that's something you need to talk about? Proposals/engagements are always way better if the couple is on the same page about whether or not they are ready for that step. Plus, there's no need to read into anything or guess if he's playing games. Just communicate about it. It's a pretty important thing after all

After reading your other posts, my reaction is similar to others. I'm not sure why he would be trolling you on this? It sounds like he is legitimately thinking about marriage. We definitely have talked about it, and agreed on the condition that is keeping us from getting engaged. To be fully candid, it's his faith. He was agnostic when we started dating and we've been working to help him figure out what he believes in the whole time. We've agreed we are waiting for marriage until/if he makes the decision to accept Christ. He hasn't told me this happened yet, but recently he has made comments about wanting to become stronger in his faith, learning some more stuff so he can stand up for what he believes in in the most educated way possible, etc. I'm wondering if he came to accept Christ and isn't telling me because he wants to surprise me. I'll keep an eye on it, I don't want to question him on it because I don't want to pressure him to rush into the choice if he isn't ready thinking I'm impatient with the process. Just a lot of raised eyebrows lately.

Yeah, that's a tough spot to be in. You probably already know this, but just be careful about creating a situation where he is making choices because of you rather than out of a genuine desire to find truth. But I admire your wisdom in putting marriage on hold until there is a resolution there. I would just hate for him to make that decision, but then five years from now have you end up in this spot where you are married to someone who isn't really a believer. I'll pray God will work all of that out though

Total Hufflepuff IMO, he went straight for the food.

That was my first thought, but he's so impatient. Almost more of a Gryffindor because of the lack of patience, lol. (Also, he went to his death fearlessly.)

Although, now that I think about it, he valued patience in other people (just not himself.) And, he became more patient towards the end. So maybe Hufflepuff is right after all.

I hope it doesn't get bad again. A few years ago I was pretty much in constant torment for about 4 months. I really don't want to go through that again. Nor have I ever fully understood how my mind slipped so badly.

sounds like he wanted you to double check and tell him your real size.
