  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Ok... so been wanting to dye my hair with purple or rose gold highlights, and had almost decided to do it, but the good angel on my shoulder urged me to test first.

Used temporary wet chalk to sample it on my hair. I'd appreciate opinions, as this is not permanent but if I go forward it will be

The purple looks nice. You can definitely pull it off, but I'd be curious to see what caramel highlights looked like in your hair. I really like your hair just as is ( I like your dark brown).

I like it. I almost thought it was black hair until it got to your black shirt and the purple came out.

Thanks! I thought of caramel balayage too, but my bf overruled me when I showed him a picture.

I was really trying to get to something lighter like this:
Hair and Makeups

But it's really hard to duplicate that with messy chalk paint. I tried mixing hot pink and bronze, but it definitely came out purple.

Ooooohhh, I really like that picture. I think that would look very nice and suit you. I like it because it's a softer look

My mother used to have her hair exactly like that, same colour and style, with an electric blue streak running through it.

I'm not calling you an old fuddy duddy, my mum's a typical 1980's anti-establishment-type punk. When I was a baby her hair was shaven on one side, and luminous pink on the other, and covering half her face.

Yeah, most mums wear aprons and bake cakes. Mine was all bat wing earrings, healing crystals, Gothic makeup, and latex jackets.

Second week without my Monday support group. I needed to talk badly this time. I have to wait till Wednesday now and then only get like 50 mins to try to work through this dad thing. He was out for a whole week and refused to see me. Acted like he would have dinner one night at least, but ended up calling me from the airport. I haven't seen him in over 2 years now. He's been saying he'd come out and visit for close to a year. I know he hates me, he just won't admit it.

I'm starting to notice that this last year or so there have been many deaths of athletes born after 1982, a lot of them from car crashes.

Fast cash, fast cars, think they're invincible. Not a healthy mix.

I'm sorry to hear you're having to deal with this. Support groups are important, and also your Dad sounds like a pain.

Keep in mind that his behaviour is not your fault. My parents like to say I'm a bad kid and I'm pushing them away... tbh if my dad wants to love me conditionally, he can. But if he pushes me away, I didn't destroy the relationship.

I'm writing a long article about teething. Ugh. I really want to be a dad, but some things...lol

Nom Nom Teething Necklaces would probably be a good idea.
