I had a sobering reality yesterday that next year I will be 30. I don't think I can deal with this.....

I dreaded turning 30, but it's actually been much less traumatic than I anticipated, haha. I'm 32 now. I think it just depends on how you view it. Maybe plan a fun trip to celebrate your 30th. You'll end up being excited about the trip and your focus will be more on having fun and less on your age

She's right, @leothelioness. Maybe it all depends on one's perspective, but I am 32 as well and still feel like the 20's never really even left me. @YankeeGirl is still as beautiful in appearance as ever and may as well be twenty-two as she is 32 for all I have observed of not only her face but her actions and words (just my honest compliments of you, @YankeeGirl, not a come-on ^-^ ), and I doubt your situation will be any different. And the same for me; I still appear youthful and act like I am a decade younger than I really am.

Why should it be any different for you, Sarah? I know we're two different people, so maybe it's easier said than done in your case, but I am being truthful in what I said above. Just hang in there, and hopefully you won't be feeling nearly as bad when next year finally hits you. Taking YankeeGirl's practical advice will likely really help, as well.

I'm looking forward to my 30's. Everything I'm doing now is setting me up for them.

I'm definitely looking at starting a business or two.
