Randomly inspired today and have the best ideas for a Vday gift and birthday gift. Yesssss!!

I am thinking about how non-violent real Christians are.
You can put a fake Christian through the test really fast, and see for yourself if he has his soul darkened for eternity.

My great-grandmother was a true believer. She was never violent. Never. She never insulted nobody. She passed away in 2004. God bless her soul forever. She was so good, the biggest Christian ever. She sold her apartment so she could give the money to my mother. My mother bought a new car, went to holidays and she bought computers and phones and materialistic stuff, which she eventually lost, and all with the money of my great-grandmother apartment. Her car got stolen afterwards too. Hard earned apartment. She worked for 50 years for this. And it was her only joy because she only wanted to see the birds fly. I remember me and her walking near her home. And there was this garden, like a garden park, you know, and she always loved nature and God.

So why God punished her? Her last days, she had to spend with my grandfather who beat her bad in front of me, and he didn't even let me help her. She had no home to stay in. She was so lonely. God, was that a test? Why punish the only person who cared about me and teached me everything I know? Teached me not to steal, teached me not to lie, to read books, to read before I even went to first grade. Why good people have to endure all this? I guess you have a really good reason for this. Love you grandma. Let your soul rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like your grandfather deserves to be beaten.

You guys have had more of a positive impact on me than the previous two online communities I have been part of this decade. I thank you guys for your patience and friendliness as I don't feel like I'm walking on eggshells every time I want to post an opinion.

Well, dude, I'd have to admit it would be pretty embarrassing for us to call ourselves a Christian (at least primarily; I recognize that a few people here do not share the same faith, and that's cool) community if we weren't any better than those other forum communities that may have driven you off in the past with the negative way most of its members treated you or each other. But, you're welcome?

So I guess some edification alongside this will be to remember that even if you fall away it doesn't mean you aren't His, and it doesn't mean you can't return to your loving Father. Once your his, you're always his, you're redeemed by the blood of Christ and his child forever.

I basically believe this to be true as well. A few years ago when I found myself sharing the same plights and woes with other believers and non-believers alike in the adult ward of a *ahem* mental hospital (for lack of a better term), I remember thinking of an analogy, an illustration, to demonstrate this very sentiment that by Christ's blood and forgiveness I do not think we can ever truly go back. And I spoke it aloud to everyone else in the room, then, making a reference to my own selfishness and sins which I believe led me to the sickness I was experiencing in that time in the first place.

I believe I spoke of it as the picture of my being an endlessly wandering sheep in God's good and vast pasture, who kept wanting to explore along the fenceline between Light and Darkness without ever really thinking about what I might be getting into, eventually to where I would want to take a leap over the railing, but the guiding crook of our Shepherd would never allow it, I'm afraid. I'm being pulled back gently (well, okay, sometimes with a bruised backside if He ever feels it necessary to go there ) by that crook every time. I figure, there really isn't a better God around for us to declare our loyalty and love to, even if we believed that other gods actually existed.


(Like, seriously, who'd want to serve Zeus if he was real, for instance? That guy was an <expletive>)

My town, Newgrounds and Rapture Ready were very toxic places to be in.

I browsed Rapture Ready forums - without ever actually joining - for a while a couple of years ago when I wanted to investigate the subject of what Revelation main view - preterism or futurism - seems the most logical and Biblically sound. And I gotta say, that kind of Christian attitude that seemed to prevail there I am personally very averse to. Our faith may seem strange and peculiar to many non-believers who do not see it the way we do yet, but I don't think that means we need to actively speak and act like tin-foil hat Illuminati skyrocketing to the nuthouse just to look "different from the world". That, and the general sense of insulting anger and religious/moral superiority (all under the incredibly thin veil of "hey, I just speak the truth in love") I got from there.

I just saw the notice on my YouTube main page that the Cinema Snob has finally gotten around to making fun of the 8th installment of the unintentionally hilarious Friday the 13th films, where "Jason Takes Manhattan" (more like Jason just annoys it briefly in the third act of the movie). Now to sit back, break open the cheese quesadillas and Dr. Pepper I picked up on the way home, and enjoy the dry sarcasm over a classic(ally bad) 80's slasher.

Hehe- correct on a couple counts.

My boyfriend and I have agreed to take turns planning monthly date nights- intentionally finding and putting together an event for us that would be fun and different. This month I've decided to purchase tickets to a local convention and enter a costume contest

The other thing is his bday is in March, and in addition to making a plan of events I think he'll love, I think I've come up with a pretty cool gift idea. He's been wanting a robe because he doesn't like wearing clothes when he's gaming but he gets cold, so I'm going to make him a robe that looks like the Sun Knight from dark souls 3. Really hoping it turns out like it is in my head, because that would be a big hit!

I love cosplay but I haven't had the time and resources to do a lot. I have a really good Darth Vader costume though. everything looks better with a boss floor lenth cape.

Quite serious the name is from a home video my family made one Halloween when I was very young. It features me stomping around in a crazy red wig and mermaid tail insisting I'm not wearing a costume, I am the REAL Ariel. Ariel is my most cosplayed character, and I even bought a swimmable mermaid tail (pictured) to wear to our annual company retreat to Mexico.

Praying! It's been going around heavy here. One girl at my church got it twice in one week between visits to family during Christmas.

Too bad we are only replacing one turd with another. Obama, Trump, Hilary...... didnt matter one way or the other this country isn't going to move forward.

I DO believe Trump was the best option.... given the joke of choices we had.

Hilary- 100% evil and power hungry
Trump - 99.9% evil and power hungry
Obama - 100% Hopey changey for the worse.(As I said would be the case before he took over.)

All of them were pretty much tied for worst case scenario.

Yet, people still argued as if one of them is our "savior" when in fact all of them are a poison to this nation.
