• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Just got a call from the doctor about my heart monitor. My results came back normal so that means I have no heart problems.

Looks like we're going to have to do some more tests.

Also, I've been doing fantastic today. Only got a small dizzy spell after running. There has been major improvement lately and I'm hoping that next week I can try to go to work again. I'll take it slow by starting with part time.

@Wayholka nice, thats good news bro, hope the rest turns out well for you :)

Thank you so much. Like I said, I may have to perform more tests, maybe even in the city which is three hours away from town but things do seem to be getting better. God has heard this forum's prayers and decided to help me out. I don't know how long this will last but it has brought me much relief. :)

I'm sorry you have more tests but it's fantastic to hear that it isn't your heart! I hope you continue to improve. :)

Have they done an MRI just to make sure it isn't something neurological?

Not yet. That may be a test they will have to do in the future. Problem is, to get that I may have to go to the city which is a three hour drive. My stepfather is frequently out of town to find work lately so I don't know how that's going to work.

OMM: I had an interesting epiphany today.

When you hear one negative opinion from someone in your formative years, it takes the better part of your life just to reset your thinking. When you're bullied, you end up having to do the hard work of picking up the pieces and make sense of yourself and who you are.

The bully gets the easy way out. They won't come back into your life and say they're sorry and they were wrong. Instead, you have to be the one to get your self-esteem and confidence where it needs to be. I believe I have finally reached that place with the Lord's help. I am happy with how I look and who I am and I love God's creation as it is. The bully might get off easy, but I wouldn't be who I am today otherwise.

I don't want to suffer anymore. I'm so beyond exhausted.:puff:

Life's hard peeps.

Tell me about it. I was praying to God today while taking a walk (if you were to observe me, it would look like I was talking to myself) about how downhill this world is going. I'm watching the news and every day it looks like a world war is ready to break out and I questioned if all my efforts to help the world really mattered at all. In fact, I'm at the point where I'm retiring from philanthropy. My family is in quite a pinch and I feel that nothing I do from now on will matter. This world is bent on its own destruction and it's all so ridiculous.

I also talked to Him about how life seems to be like a never-ending high school year for me. All the social politics really frustrates me. I told Him how sick of life I've grown and that I just want to drop out. We talked about several things and in the end, I felt that there is nothing else I can do to further His kingdom. I'm just done.

The world got what it wanted. A world without God. Just look at it now.

Well, then, not that I do not empathize to a degree with the current hardships of all of the people who have posted above as of recent, but, may I share with everyone here a spiffy little cover song I have seen on YT to hopefully interject some cheeriness into the atmosphere. :)

Yep, I think I can safely say that Winter Depression is here again.

I know it and why so early this year. Usually fall and spring are my good times but summer and winter make me depressed. Maybe we are in for an early winter.
