CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Internship to where, Miss Stanfordella? You seem fairly excited for it.
I interned in DC over the summer, and a speechwriter who mentored me there recommended me to a colleague for this position, which is with a political campaign. I'm tremendously excited!

I smoked ribs today and just ate some, they were terrible! I put way too much Season Salt on them and it cured them into a ham taste, not good.

May I ask you all to pray for healing for my cousin Jenny, an admirable woman a few years older than me on my father's side of the family who works very hard as both a mother of two and a nurse, and even does mission work on occasion. But right now she is heavily weighed down from being able to do those things because of bronchitis and - if I understood correctly when I heard the news - possible pneumonia. She is in the hospital right now. Please pray for her.

I think the exercise video game I bought because I got frustrated with Wii Fit has serious motion detection issues. One of the exercises that I have to do is squat down and then come up and raise my knee in the air. The only way I found to get "excellent" scores from the game on that exercise was to just stand there and swing my arms from side to side in front of me.

My kid is kind of the same way. He is 21 and still don't drive but I hope in time he learns. If he don't that is ok too. People have been getting around for thousands of years without cars so he will survive.

Thankfully my town has installed a transit system so I can start getting rides during the winter without having to bother my family.
My town is also small enough to walk everywhere during the Summer if I have the time and energy. Good exercise.

My sons problem is he likes to go for long hikes to the next town over. One day he called and he was in a town 15 miles away and he had walked there.

This guy just wouldn't listen to my instructions and then he ended up ignoring me deliberately, so I went up behind him with a stapler and stapled his ear. He squealed like a pig and jumped up and charged me into the filing cabinets. I then grabbed him and smacked him in the face and he flew backwards over his desk taking his monitor and equipment with him. He then picked up his keyboard to use as a weapon and I dodged it, picked up the rubbish bin putting it over his head and giving him a round house kick which knocked him out cold.
I'm under 3 weeks suspension and then a review.
