Thank you for sharing your story Sarah's Knight. It is truly understandable how you feel. When I see the verses about honoring our parents, I don't think that means never disagreeing with them, especially if they have been abusive or leading towards sin. We are to honor them in how we live our lives for the Lord.

I have been through a lot of the same as you. My mom was incredibly abusive and neglectful growing up. Worse yet, we often lived with roommates who also abused me and she turned a blind eye. This happened for a long time and it wasn't until the last few years she apologized to me for all she did and all she let happen. I have forgiven her, but it's difficult at times not to feel sink back into those feelings. My dad was the same way most of my childhood until he got his life together, so the best I can do is try to focus on the future. I can't blame my mom for her mistakes when I've made plenty of my own and that's the beauty of forgiveness.

I will pray for you guys and I hope your relationship grows closer

He's got quite a road ahead of him to prove that thesis viable, I'd say. Remember, he must barely even know what someone's belly button even is if he just confused it for a hand making a claw gesture.


Every time I think of the term, I imagine the Pillsbury Doughboy giggling whenever you press against him right on his belly button.

Was it ok for me to have sent a girl a message on POF just to say hello and see how she's doing? She and I were CF acquaintances and fellow mods several years ago, but she later blocked me on FB, and I heard from someone else it was because she thought I was being too clingy.

I must agree with Sheena, sir. It's kind of lame for her to actually block you just for that. One or even a few messages asking how she is? And she blocks you like you're some kind of nutty stalker?

Belly buttons threaten to enslave us all.

Its the lint.... all the belly button lint is being created, they have quotas on how much they must create. Then, when the belly button initiative have all they need to make belly button rope, they will attack us in out sleep. Tying us up and throwing us into holes in the ground, like gigantic earth belly buttons. These camps are where they will enslave us.

If the cop does not agree with me then he must agree with Galilean relativity. In which case, how could he possibly be for certain that I was the one moving so fast. Maybe HE was doing 100 mph on the side of the highway while I was innocently idling on the hwy.

IF he believes in Einsteins theory, then that means that him pulling me over is in fact false accusations. Cause IF I am doing 100 mph and he is doing 100 mph then that means really I wasn't even doing 1 mph because he was moving in my same direction which, to his eyes I would be staying still and he pulls me over saying I was doing 100 he is a liar.

To someone sitting still viewing I AM doing 100, but if he is doing 100 as well than to his eyes I am not moving.

So..... we can deduce that if I am "standing still" while he is flashing his lights at me.... then he did NOT witness me doing 100 by any valid testimony because... when he was looking at me and taveling with me, I was NOT doing 100, I was doing my speed minus his speed.

If he saw me doing 100 while he was sitting still, how valid is that as an eye witness? It could have been anyone..... maybe the flash was having a slow day.

Speed is not absolute, it changes depending on who is looking at it. After all, I am on Earth, so even while I stand still. I am still moving at least 1,000 mph being that the Earth spins that fast.

All that aside, I love watching documentaries on things such as physics and the "expert" speaks a different language....... but there is no "voice over translation. "

You have to be going an amount over the limit. That is to compensate for inaccuracy. For example if you have replacement tires that is going to effect the accuracy of your speedometer. Here I think you have to be going more then 7 mph over the limit. So that people will not be able to present the argument of inaccuracy. Although I remember on TV a little person was arrested for DUI and he argued that the test was not accurate for little people. The judge ruled in his favor and dismissed the charges.
