Things I had never considered before: the struggles of transgendered priests.
Things I did not anticipate: so many interesting conversations on a pensions helpline.
Also today I found out that quite a few priests name their pets after Biblical figures.
If I'd worked from home, I would have missed out on all of that. Silver linings.

I'm looking for things to be thankful for instead of dwelling on a "lost" day. I think that is a better use of my time and energy, don't you?

1. I have an amazingly supportive family.
2. The cat who tolerates me is my best friend when my pain levels are higher than usual or I'm sick.
3. It was a good day to do nothing, it rained most of the day.
4. The ability to feel, even if it painful.

Feel free to steal the idea. It isn't original with me. I find if I focus solely on the bad...I just get stuck. When the truth of the matter is even in the midst of the bad God really has shown me mercy, grace, and love.

The GOP debate has begun! I think. I still don't know why Facebook sponsored it. I mean, most people that are Onternet-savvy/addicted are liberals to some degree, or at least enough to dislike Republicans. i hope Something crazy happens!

My only request is that nobody follow this with some snarky comment about how conservatives are evil/racist/stupid/bigoted. There are a lot of liberals like that and they get away with it. At least in America they do.

Well, Trump didn't launch any verbal grenades, although he did criticize a few people. I think my impression of him dropped a bit, but it's just interesting to see everyone talk. All economic stuff, too.
