About you specifically or when people break down?

About me when i struggle. Like when i posted for prayers about my mom, only one person responded. But when moe asked prayers for his mom, everyone showed up. Or the big prayer request when ive been struggling the past few weeks, you were the only one to actually check on me. So no, i generally dont feel cared about. That doesnt mean no one did pray, but really when only one person reaches out, it says a lot to me about how im regarded.

Haha, I never would have gathered that from your posts. I figured since you were a good poker player that you were probably really good at hiding your emotions (at least not showing any expressions on your face).

Oh, I am a good poker player actually!

But when it comes to other stuff I am not afraid to show emotion.

I would say that often that thread isn't responded to, even when there's a new post. Not just when you have posted, Tony. And like you said, just because someone hasn't 'responded' doesn't mean they haven't seen the prayer request and aren't praying. It doesn't mean that they don't care. Not everyone is in-tune with your emotions and your need for someone to actually 'speak up' and go, "hey, I'm praying for ya".

You know, I remember crying like that the second time I watched Lincoln. I saw it in theater and thought it was amazing, then I watched it at home much later and the scene near the end when he's leaving the White House to go to Ford's Theater. I just lost it because the film did an amazing job establishing what a great man Lincoln was, and then knowing

that he's going to his death

really made me lose it.

Yeah but yall do it for everyone else. Isnt that what a christian community is about? I literally thought my mom was dying and was so distraught and stressed out but my friends couldnt even take a second to show comfort or message me. Yeah. Sorry you dont have needs to be shown care and support but i do.

I personally seldom respond to that thread, but almost always check it when there's a new request posted so that I can pray for them.

I know that I personally would never respond publicly to a request. If I was concerned about someone I would always message them privately. I am too worried that I'd end up embarrassing the person if I asked them how they were doing right on the forum. It is just my personality (I'd also never post my own problems or desire for a prayer request on the forum- I've never been too comfortable doing that). Perhaps others do care and took note of the requests, but didn't feel comfortable responding publicly.

I'll just say this - this was originally a normal chat on emotions and being emotional and you've turned into something personal and about you, when it isn't. ...I'm just trying to bring this quickly back into perspective.

You guys are really good friends. I'm sure she did/does care about you. Maybe the fact that you are so close and in contact outside of CF made her feel it was a given that you'd know she cared.
