Dont do it Miss S.!!! Snow is a horrible, horrible thing. When I was in it, had to pull over every 3 minutes to clean the windshield. Then when I got where I was going the dang heater was broken.

I was just glad I didn't stay very long. I am normally VERY shower centric, however then.... it was a "hmmmm.... do I REALLY need one?" Cause, Id get in the shower, step out into a temp. I may as well have been walking outside naked and wet.

That may be normal for a Yankee, but for this Texan bull........ 2 showers lasted me 3 days.

Think that was the only time in my life I was happy to get back to the heat and humidity of home.

I've never even seen snow. ...The thought of driving in it is a little terrifying to me. I can only imagine that this would be me driving in snow...

In my opinion, you should come for a visit around Christmas. I'd say stay away from January or February. This past year, we got some nasty storms in mid December (short lasting), but typically it is a little less stormy that month. Christmas Eve and Day were so warm this year, you didn't even need a jacket. The trees look absolutely beautiful with a fresh dusting of snow and a few icicles. Especially when everything is lit up for Christmas. After the holidays, it loses it's magic very quickly, haha.

The past two winters (especially last year) were unbearably cold, even by our standards I'm hoping that pattern breaks this year.

Haha. Well, in between the time you posted this and now I decided to roadtrip with my sisters and niece to New York City in January/February. Lol. ...I'm going to be cold. Yikes.

I actually traveled to western texas about a month and a half ago. It wasn't too hot yet. I don't have any inclination to travel anywhere humid though.

I will never understand the appeal of NY. I've been there and I must be immune to "the magic" of the place.

I have nothing against NY, however... too many buildings. I am neither a country nor city boy (Im a mix of both).
Im somewhere in between. I DO however need a horizon line.... not feeling like a rat in a maze.

Wanna see something other than the buildings surrounding you. Look up at the sky or down at the sidewalk. Wasn't my thing.

Well west Tx is far more dry and more desert like. East TX is more like swamp. Hot, humid and sticky.
