CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would be grateful to have it that way right now where I am at, and for a lot longer than just an average of 4 months out of the year. The revered Lady of Winter is both my muse and my most desired companion.

I am much fonder of the cold weather and the wintry scene. Of course, that means nothing when it comes to the state of my heart.

I like winter. I only dislike the part where there's much less sunlight and cloudy a lot. If there were more sunny days, I wouldn't mind it too much.

I hate the pressure of driving in freezing rain and snowstorms. I am lucky that I've never been in an accident in winter, but it is disconcerting when you see cars spun out in ditches all along your commute to work. I'm fairly good at handling my car in winter conditions, but I still find it worrisome. I so much prefer the ease of summer.

I've never lived in an area that got winter weather as an adult. Hence, I've driven in winter weather I think three times, and the last time I was on a road trip going across New Mexico and it freaked me out.

It is really nerve wracking if you aren't accustomed to it. I have snow tires for my vehicle. That really helps with traction. Only problem is that there are a lot of very winding roads in my area with sharp curves. You have to drive so slowly around those during winter.

I love the mild winters we have in the Ozarks. We get maybe a foot of snow a year and its in 3 or 4 little snows that melt in 2 or 3 days.
I do not like being cold but I am tired of being hot.
Grass is always greener on the other side I guess.
Fall and winter also means football season.

I've never even seen snow. ...The thought of driving in it is a little terrifying to me. I can only imagine that this would be me driving in snow...

Not that bad, but yeah.... pretty much. Ive seen it a couple times when I went up north a tiny bit (STL, MO.) in winter.......... not for this bull.
Funny thing is, Id never walked on real snow and ice before. Didn't fall once.
Look at all the locals...... they are slipping and sliding as I thought Id have been. I was thinkin, come on..... you people should be used to it....... Im the only ice rookie here.
Sounds normal to me.
