Same boat as you... except Im not British.

If you ask me the best show the BBC put out is Robin Hood, however that I enjoyed due to its light heartedness (It had a lot of plot holes and inconsistencies cause I don't think they thought it would reach a second season. I still enjoyed the show overall.) .... Of course, to be fair. I havent exactly watched a lot of BBC programing.

The best thing about the BBC was Neighbours... Especially in the 90's when Harold Bishop came back after his amnesia.

I like that episode too. David Tennant is my all-time favorite doctor. Christopher Eccleston comes in a close second though.

So far the only thing I have found interesting from the Great Britain film industry was The Young Ones TV sitcom and some Monty Python. The Young Ones use to crack me up, I love Neil.

I just read a comedy article about a city in Nebraska called Monowi, which actually houses only one living being as its population, and the road sign going into Monowi from the west actually says so. According to Wikipedia, the lone inhabitant actually runs a tavern there that draws in a decent crowd from miles around out of town, and the town's library is some small square house containing her departed husband's collection of books. I don't know why, but I actually think it'd be interesting to head out just to see this place for myself and meet the one woman who seems perfectly content there as the only resident.
