Every time I went to their house and saw a 69 Charger sitting there.....

I've been eyeing a 67 Impala I wouldn't mind rollin in, but the problem is.... for the same price I could have a new-ish V8 Mustang I could drive from day one. Intead of spending the money only to have it sitting there in need of work.

lol You would "soil yourself" if you saw all the muscle he has. I met him through my uncle Jim, who was one of the few mechanics trained by GMC, in this area, at that time. He needed some replacement parts for one of his cars, and my uncle sent him to me because it was custom work.

I don't actually know what all he has. I know he has more than 200 vehicles. He even has some Ive never seen before. One of them I jokingly call his "weeble-wobble" car. It has "rounded",reinforced body panels, and is weighted so that if it ever rolls, it will right itself.

Nah, Id just drool. The soiling of myself would only happen if he tossed me the keys and said "Have fun".

Parts are the reason I want to go Mustang..... the car I have now I love, but parts are so hard to source for a 25 year + Acura/Honda that the car is becoming useless and unreliable.... while parts were to be found it was a tank. Now its a game of used part Russian Roulette..... replacing an old part with an equally old part is only a temporary fix.... without new or refurb options..... my car wants to die, but I refuse to allow it.

Even Ludacris is in love with the second generation of the car I drive and remains one of his favorite rides. Of course, he has the money to send his car to Acura and have them rebuild from the ground up. If only I had the money to do that.

There will ALWAYS be someone restoring a Mustang..... so.... part galore. I can fall in love with the car and never have to let it go.

Well, I am of the same mind. I still drive my first car. 18 years and counting.

It means something coming from me cause I grew up in an "American only" family. So for an 80s Acura/Honda to win me over to the point of holding on to it this long.... says a lot.

Again, if it weren't for lack of part support...... Id be rolling in a completely restored 80s Honda.... it lacks power, but its still a fun drive.

I just want to buy a car that has support that wont meet a premature death simply cause the parts aren't there. The roar of a V8 Mustang isn't as awesome as my dream car of the classic Charger...... but.... I wouldn't complain either. Although I suspect if I met your friend and saw his garage..... Id be asking a whole lot of "How much?"

I probably wouldn't be able to meet his asking.... but hey, Im not married... it don't hurt to ask.

Then try to just let it go for a while, perhaps, Sheena. Let your mind drift to other things you'd like to get done or progress on right now. Then perhaps, after a few weeks, your mind will be able to focus on it again and form just the right words this time.
