  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

This week has been a bit of an excess clutter reduction project for me. I am downsizing on everything! I sorted through much of my clothing and I am getting rid of most of them (which I have an overabundance); I already gave away some big bags full to Salvation Army and discarded ones that are not fixable, so I now just have a few more bags to go. Next I need to sort through the excess of other things I own. I have always wanted to be more of a minimalist and was sort of half-heartedly working on it bit by bit, but now I am just taking the goal on fully. Some items might be harder to get rid of, but my attachment to most of my belongings has waned over the years, so I am no longer looking at them with clouded vision.

Other than that, the stuffed beets that I put in the oven are almost ready and that is on my mind too! :yum:

I'm kinda fed up with the clutter in my room right now, but I don't know where to start. I probably shouldn't hang onto so much old stuff I don't need now.

I should do the same... I just got rid of a few bags of clothes a few weeks ago too, but I have some things I need to go through too. I know what you mean about wanting to be more of a minimalist... I don't like having a lot of things that I don't really use either.

Stuffed beets, hey? Sounds like something I should look into. I like beets. :D

And fresh eggs are way better than the ones they sell in the store. Also chickens are funny sometimes. Especially when they taunt the kitty cat by looking in while he looks out. ^_^
My cat jumped out of my second floor window to get them, he was used to a glass window stopping him when he pounced but he was surprised when the screen and him fell down. The chickens were quickly far away and he was crouching by the back door waiting to come back in. He was okay so it was funny. But I didn't trust him near my window for a long time.

That's hilarious. My cats actually never tried getting our chickens when we had them. :D And I agree that fresh eggs are definitely better health-wise. That was the main purpose we got chickens, but then we grew attached and they sort became pets, too. Lol.

Chickens!!! I know nothing about them but I always liked feeding my Granny's chickens.

Chickens are great. From Plymouth Rocks, Polish, Japanese Silkies, to Bantams. I love Bantams. Tiny little birds, but they think they are the Rottwielers of the chicken world.

Our rooster was like the tiniest rooster I've ever seen. He was so cute. He was such a good rooster though, he loved his harem of hens. :ahah: Some roosters can be mean, but he was nice.

Dont get a game rooster then. Games can be vicious. That's what a lot of people use for chicken fights.

Not that we were ever all that, but at least we looked competent for a time.

Hmm.. isn't that addiction? :p

People get addicted to the caffeine. For some reason, the caffeine has no effect on me. If I happen to go a day without coffee, there is no withdrawal, no headache.

I'm just weird. I had an accident while working and shattered one of my teeth. When the dentist went to extract it, it took 8 ampules of painkiller to deaden it.
:freeze:
Isn't...that a lot? Like...above and beyond the norm?
