"You're a wonderful person, you won't be alone forever"

At this point I wonder, do I tell them you're never alone with Jesus?

You could.... or if you want to mess with them you can always say "The voices keep me from being ever truly alone" I guess it depends on your mood.

In order to find out the e-mail address to use in opting out of the bus pass fee for the semester, I had to resort to messaging the student union on FB because I couldn't find the info anywhere else. Something's really wrong there.....:|

If it's SBC then there are quite heavy elements of reformed theology in their academia it seems, so it doesn't seem all that surprising they'd go to Presbyterian.
Some seminaries, such as the one I attended, leaned very heavily toward reformed theology but then there are others that lean the other way. Since the seminary I attended is so reformed (and many of the churches in the area) it makes it difficult for those who move out of the area to find a good sbc to attend. It does make a lot of sense that they'd go Presbyterian.

I went to a Churches of Christ school. It's not like a majority end up atheist, but it's a known fact that some people do. I went to the church that a lot of the Bible professors went to and we were the most progressive church in our denomination and the sermons just had a different feel than other churches. It was funny once, he posted a picture of a Greek sign from Jerusalem, and said "let me translate that for y'all..well, for those of you that haven't already."
That's funny, some of the churches around the seminary I attended would say things like, "for those of you who have yet to take Greek ...." I don't know much about the Church of Christ or their doctrine. What do you mean it had a different feel?

I don't know much about the Church of Christ or their doctrine.

That's cause we have no official doctrine or creeds, we're united by our traditions and heritage.

What do you mean it had a different feel?
They were more, I don't know, deep and unafriad to tackle certain issues. For example, our preacher did a sermon series about how we're not the center of the story. Not in the sense that Christ should be the center of our lives, but that most of us are extras in the story and that's okay.

God brought me to help somebody that every few could.
I was crying some a newer found friend spoke about her childhood and how bad it was. Not sure how long we can be together as friends, but being close to somebody is nice.

I can see I'm going to have to do some research...

Oh, that's great. Preachers should tackle even the hard or unpleasant issues.

You don't have to, I'll spell it out for you. We do have many common beliefs, in fact, with some small differences on the details. We are heavily sola-scriptura, but don't generally don't have a problem with any sort of commentaries or books helping us to understand scripture.

Salvation: We typically believe that salvation is repentance and obedience to the gospel as opposed to some emotional, spirit-led conversion. We're strongly Armenian. We take the decision to become baptized (we baptize instead of simply saying some confession or prayer as a sign of dedication) seriously and only baptize those who have seriously studied and are sure this is the right decision for them.

End Times: We're Amellinialists and believe that Jesus will come back pretty much without warning one day and judge the world, no tribulation, rapture,

Eucharist: We take it weekly.

Worship: The vast majority of our church's our a cappella, though a small (but starting to grow) minority are incorporating instrumental worship along with a cappella.

Outside of that, we don't really have a "stance" on anything. I know CoC people who are Creationists and CoC people who are Evolutionists, conservative CoCers and liberal CoCers, and everything in between.

Is it just me or have the people at Amazon become extremely incompetent as of late?

So far in the last 3 orders, I have had items that had issues with the delivery address, 5 of the same items I didn't order and just today I got a package that was supposed to contain two items.... it only contained one item. :| (Its the one item from that box that I need before Friday)

So much for their track record with me where they had a spotless record for years.

Mistakes happen, we are all human but come on. You go years without any mistakes and now mistakes galore..... :|

Yes they are fabulous, mental like. It's all shiny and new too me. Am sure if I was American I would hate them too. Plus they just come on so random. I was watch jeopardy (never seen it before) and then at the end they went too a commercial about these amazing pillows and something else then went back to program, everyone said goodbye and rolled the credits.
