:ahah: Can I really take over the world with soft and cute animals? :satisfied:
Hmmm, I guess not...But, I've got my eye on you. o_O
(Also, if you are plotting world domination, I want in pls. I've always wanted to rule New Jersey.)

Is that today?
Yes mam, 8pm Eastern tonight I believe. They've been showing the Olympic trials on T.V. the past few nights, but staying up to watch Curling isn't exactly my thing. :p

I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who prayed for my illness a few days ago. You are the best. :purpleheart:

Still feeling sick, but I think I'm slowly getting better. So far I haven't been terribly sick, at least. I've been resting a lot and doing a lot of praying as well; yesterday I did seem to have my energy back, which is always good. Can't wait to get back to creativity!

Also, I wonder why I tend to type "toy" instead of "you" so often. o_O

I really don't understand the fascination with the Olympics. "Hey, let's take the most boring things we can think of and put them together and let it go on for days and days and days."

This must be how @Miss Spaulding feels when I drone on about football ^_^

That is why if I ever won a huge jackpot lotto I would be moving quickly and I would disappear from this town into a much smaller quieter one as just an average person.

Same here. Remote home in a remote area of a large state/province.

It would be a dream come true.

I'd say a conglomeration of the world's best athletes or performers competing against each other is pretty cool.

I think the Olympics is pretty special. It's an insight in to a whole host of other sports, specialities and people from all walks in life that share an obsession and commitment to greatness in their respective field. I think that's what makes it so interesting is that we're watching masters of their crafts demonstrate and compete after years or, in some cases, a lifetime of preparation and honing of their abilities.

I don't watch all of the sports shown but some are really interesting and technical.

The Olympics seemed a lot more special and exciting in the 90s. But I still love it. I wish Meryl Davis and Charlie White were the USA team for Ice Dancing though. They were the best.

Figure Skating
Snowboarding
Speed Skating
Hockey
Bobsledding (4 man, mostly)

Are my favorites.

I should give it another shot. I just remember my dad making me sit there and watch hours of curling and other Olympic sports (back when families only had one TV haha). It was so boring. But that was even before I liked football, so I don't know. I've never been a sports guy.

There's nothing wrong with that though. I probably won't watch much of the Olympics at all actually. I may watch some of the hockey games if I get the chance but I probably won't set time aside in my schedule for it. I just think it's pretty amazing how the best athletes from all these different countries that have been training for months and years are giving each other their best shot.
