Looking forward to trying a new tobacco I have my eye on. It sounds like a blend I'll really enjoy and it's a lot cheaper than almost all other tobaccos here.

With summer approaching and my late shift patterns it'll be nice to come home and just spend the few hours I get to myself in the garden enjoying the weather and a smoke.

I'm guessing there aren't any other pipe smokers here :(

No. You and you alone are the King of such fanciness.

Well I wished this week would be short at work..... granted... but Id have rather been at work.

Head to work get into a car accident.... day off.... I love my days off but if I had the option of going to work or totaling the truck........ Id rather go to work once a day M-F and twice on Saturday and Sunday than that option.

:puff:I asked for this...must remember I prayed for this......hardships to cling more to Him than to my flesh....... my flesh wants to worry about what Im going to do now..... but........I have to remember to trust He still has me and its going to work for the better.

Sorry to hear that, man. Yeah, I would have rather just gone to work too. But if you believe it is a trial God let you go through, then I'll pray you get through it.

It's a shame, really. It's a really enjoyable hobby and a good time to stop and think. I've heard it described as a form of prayer in many ways and it's so true.

I appreciate it. As for a trial Im sure of it. God is control of all things and satan needs His permission before the devil can cause problems for us. As seen in the story of Job. God allowed everything even his very health to be taken. God allowed satan to do anything he wanted to Job but He said satan could not kill Job.

It wasn't because God wanted Job to suffer, it wasn't because God was making a bet with the devil and Job paid the price. God knew what would be taken from Job, He also knew that He would restore all that had been taken from him.... but Job would be so much better off after all of the pain and suffering because God would not only restore all that had been taken from him, but in the end Job would be in relationship to God.... not just have His laws. How do you measure a relationship with the creator of all things. Yes, it doesnt make it hurt less, but its always a price worth paying....... its just horrible paying it until its over.

If the loss of a truck brings me a closer relationship to Christ and it puts that much more of my ego/pride/flesh out of the way so that I can have a stronger and deeper relationship to Him.... then take 20 trucks........ I may not like the troubles it brings, at the moment but there is ALWAYS a "greater good" where God is concerned. We just aren't close enough to the answer while we focus on the pain/troubles..... whatever that pain/trouble is..... be it big or small.... God is always in control and is always allowing it for good.... its simply do we trust Him enough not to panic.

Wont lie, my flesh went off with many words. said very loudly that do not belong coming out of a Christians mouth and I caved in and had a cigarette (quit for 2 years or so) to calm my nerves..... so I know I failed the reaction test.....but while the spirit is willing... the flesh is weak. I may lose many battles but those aren't the war. I just continue to pray that I do not turn from Him in weakness and foolishness. Those moments I do, I pray I always return back to Him rather than be handed over to my foolish and blind ways.

Yeah, wasn't bad..... but the roads are garbage. (Even while reporting the accident to my ins. the woman said "They still havent fixed that?")

Long story short, person panicked at the sight of a pothole.......slammed on their brakes...because of the state of the roads (potholes unevenness) I wasn't able to stop even though I wasn't speeding nor was I riding their bumper......kind of hard for your brakes to work when the tires are bouncing all over the place...... so....brakes aren't allowed to do their thing.... bam.

Because their car sits higher than my truck..... their damage isn't bad at all, its pretty much a scuff on their rear bumper but my truck is likely totaled as their rear bumper brace went through my grille. Which of course left the radiator unprotected and the damage just smashed back pretty much right up against the motor.

Wasn't even going fast enough for the air bag to deploy.

Damage makes me estimate that they are going to total the truck. Mileage says they may save it..... up in the air as I can estimate so far.

Thanks to YouTube, I am now finding more and more older/obscure TV shows I cannot legally find anywhere else.

Timeblazers, Touched by an Angel, Zero Hour, Killer Kids, Animorphs... Plenty of material to keep me occupied while playing free rice.

Praise God! ^_^

the animorphs books are 100 times better than the show, I highly recommend them.

You people and your animorphs.....:mmh:

Thundercats!!!!!!

How you like having no idea what anyone is talking about?:runcry:

:sput:

A couple of years ago the youth pastor at my church decided once to show the kids some of the cartoons he grew up watching, which included Thundercats. But because these days "ho" means something completely different, they burst out laughing during "Thundercats Ho", which wasn't the reaction he was hoping for.

I remember less than a couple episodes of the show because it was one of those shows I could never watch on time. The episode I did see freaked me out with that centaur alien. Watching the first episode again with it still gives me the creeps.

Yes, that’s the one. It looks like it was created by a bunch of Gen Xer’s who don’t think highly of the current generation of high school students.

Sounds pretty awesome, lol.

If I could be part of any generation, I think Gen X is the best. There was some problematic immature behavior, but it wasn't as extreme as it is now.. plus they were the generation behind some of the greatest works of music produced.
