This morning I was woken up by the aircraft jets. Being disoriented, I didn't immediately understand what was going on so I open up the window blinds and came in so much bright light that I thought it was a nuclear explosion based on some news I read last night.

Almost gave me a heart attack.

Seriously. I was very surprised, even though I had read some spoilers that were guessing it was going to be them. I honestly thought it would be someone else.

I'm not up to date with the comics, but I do know that Carl survives well beyond this point. So this the biggest difference between the two, which is what made it unexpected for me as I didn't think the fate of such a prominent character would diverge.

I do wonder whether it could be an actor thing. Chandler Riggs is 18 now, so if he wanted to do go off and do something like study further then he'd need to be written off the show.

I thought maybe it was because of the actor/actress's decision as well, but according to what I've read they say it wasn't a personal decision. They really just decided to write the story that way.

But who knows. ...Anyway, it'll very interesting to see how it all plays out from now on.

My youngest son always wanted ketchup on anything that wasn't supposed to be sweet. He has graduated to wanting BBQ sauce. Last night he put BBQ sauce on his rice. My oldest son was bothered by it. I said, "At least he's eating the rice. He used to hate it."
