Sometimes I wonder if I was a guy in a previous life or something...'cause I have this thing where guys just kinda gravitate towards me and then full out discuss their most random, weirdest thoughts...or worse, they'll start oogling over a woman and then start talking to me like I should know how hot that girl is and how fine her butt is....

Like...seriously? :sput:

I am open-minded and will discuss darn near anything with anyone, yes...but I'm Steph, not Steve...I don't really care how big her butt is....:dontcare:

Haha...I can completely relate. We should have a club or something. :p

There's one even more hidden on the left.

I'm not too sure how aged the bottles are I have but I've always found it pretty consistent. Apart from the odd brandy, Blue Label was one of my first alcoholic drinks growing up because my Dad's friend from the U.S. could get it a lot cheaper on-base(VAT-free) so it was a luxury, but just inside that affordability to be able to justify having a bit more often than you perhaps would otherwise. I've always remembered it tasting the same since I was 14.

The only bad experience I've had with it was at a funeral wake. The bar was a golf clubhouse and with the ceiling windows the bottles just got cooked in the sun for hours every day and that must have done something to it.

Oh yes, the one on the left is a modern day JW red which I bought to compare with the 1960's bottle.

I haven't drunk a lot of the Blue Label. Though I remember it being very cask driven and sherried. I picked up some tannin as well, which is unusual for a blended Scotch. I am pretty sure that there ARE some old malts in there. The tannin effect doesn't really kick in until after 25 years.

I've manly stuck to the Green Label. It's simple and straight talking. (And I know exactly what's in it!)

My special occasion whisky is a 1966 Glenfarclas Family Cask. I tried it with George Grant himself in London a while ago and I fell in love. The only problem is that it's £4,000 a bottle.

I've always wanted to try absinthe because of this scene...

It's gorgeous. Really it is. So long as you enjoy herbaceous spirits and the taste of anise.

I often drink it straight, but it holds water extremely well. So don't be afraid to go 50:50.

I wish we still had reps. "Liking" a post just isn't cutting it half the time. I see stuff and don't want to go as far as PMing a person over it and just want to send a little note of encouragement or thank you or something and keep looking for the rep button and...it's not there. :(

Also! Got my Lularoe outfit today. It's great! It's a little snug in the arms, and um.. I've bought from this same girl quite a few times (I'd rather not admit my addiction just yet :p ) and never really had a problem but all these clothes have a weird smell. Not exactly bad, but not great either. At first I thought it was dryer sheet smell, but it's like.. dryer sheet + older lady perfume smell gone wrong. lol I dont know.

If the Senate ever comes to an agreement on rehauling ObamaCare I think I'm seriously going to mail my congressmen and senators and pitch legislature that says free or discounted healhcare to all organ donors. I would also encourage them pass laws that allow immigrants to gain citizenship if they donate organs too. it's probably best to wait to send these letters until they resolve the current Health reform mess though.

That's a bit much.

I do think, however, organ donors should automatically be at the top of the list in the event that a new illness puts them at the risk of death and they're unable to survive otherwise without a transplant themselves.

Eh. You're right. They would never do my idea, but it's wishful thinking. But at the very least your idea should be implemented. I would be surprised if nothing like that is on the books anyway.

I think maybe you have another idea for sharing pictures in a thread.

Why is it that I can show the ordinary stranger who I don't even know the love of God, but hurt the ones I'm closest to?
Oh man. So incredibly true. I have no idea why it's like that.

My brother said the nicest thing to me today,He thanked me
for being so nice to him and not treating him any different. No
I don't approve of his sinful habits of doing drugs, but with the rest of my
family being harsh with him,I honestly dont see the point in me being mean to him also.

A friend of mien is pregnant. While I obviously wish her and her husband all the best, it was a bit of a reminder that I'm nowhere near being in a position where children could come into the picture. :(

I think it's because it is easier to take the people we are closest to for granted. That's why relationships require a lot of work and forgiveness.

It's also easier to put on a mask and build up a forth wall with a stranger. Not so easy with those who know you on an intricate level.

That's why, if you're dating someone (for instance) be autentic from the start. That's probably bad advice, but whatever. It'll save a lot of confusion later on when the chrome finish wears off.

It's the same with anything.
