Um, no, pushing your butt against another man is as I said, used by all players and belongs to Basketball.... huddles do not include such touching as Basketball. I never said touching at all is out, just not big on a man bumping another man with his butt. If you like Basketball, whatever floats your goat. I just find it pointless and dull, add in the above and it makes one more reason to not care for it.

I am also against the butt pat in football as a light slap to the helmet sends the same message. Tackling is also not the same as what happens in basketball.... nice try though.

As I said, if Baseball had less than 100 games a season where the game I watched matter more I MIGHT actually care about it, but since it plays 150+ games a year, I honestly couldnt care less.

As a former High school varsity third string quarterback, I will say there's nothing wrong with getting under center. Butt pat or no butt pat. The showers were weird as well, but you do it for the love of the game!

I feel Soo bad for this couple from my church,They had a terrible fire in their house

Sometimes I find it hard to discern between what might be a real problem or if it's just my anxiety going off...and it is the absolute most horrible feeling I've ever felt. Funny thing is...only a few years ago, I felt like I was okay, like I was just a regular (somewhat weird) girl.

Now these issues have been creeping up...sometimes I can handle it and actually be happy. Other times, I become someone I am not...a sobbing ball of frustration and misery.

Perhaps this is coming around because I'm not the goody Christian I once was. I still believe God is out there, but my bible must have an inch or two of dust on it...and I feel no inclination to go back to that.

I just...don't know what to do anymore. Last thing I want to do is go to a doc and start popping pills. I have distractions, which work for a while...but that's just it. They are just distractions. I have friends who are always there for me...they give me encouragement...but it's not enough. Or rather, it has no effect on me as much as it did before. Someone can tell me a thousand times it's okay, everything will be okay; but I'm starting to not believe it anymore.

I just feel like giving up. I don't know what to do.

lol. I'm poking fun at you. You are the one getting upset. I'm laughing at your attempt to justify basketball as the most homosexual sport. and that football was completely straight.

but I think I see now that you only have an issue with using your butt to defend the ball. not the general touching of other men. even inappropriately. but also the sheer volume of using your butt in BB as opposed to football.

I think I'd put rugby ahead of cricket (although I might reconsider that given the state that South African rugby is in at the moment), but I agree with everything else you've said, although I will add that South Africa have also had some epic contests against Australia.

I can understand that. I believe medication can be helpful in some cases (after all, was it not God who created those men who would become both physical and mental doctors eventually?), but from the way you sound here, my guess would be that for you in particular medication would not really help your anxiety and other negative feelings. I know it won't sound like much right now, Miss Squeakers, but I promise to pray for you. You are a beautiful girl, a delightful presence to us here even if you aren't always around (I honestly know of no one here who so much as seems to dislike you ), and maybe even a weird girl like you stated at the beginning of your post. But like Emilio Estevez once said in that famous brat pack movie The Breakfast Club, we are all a little weird (his specific term was "bizarre", actually, but the same principle applies ^-^ ). Don't sweat it. ^_- It's not as easy for people in a given social circle to notice and thus come to like a, simply, "regular" girl.



I do sympathize if you are feeling off on your emotions and thoughts lately, to where you sometimes aren't even sure if a real problem has emerged in your life or your feelings are simply deceiving you into a state of anxiety. I imagine what you described at the beginning of your post is actually the same kind of symptom I had sometimes during my sickness from religious OCD. Like, even in the midst of it I would feel so off-kilter with my emotions sometimes that I did not know whether to rebuke them in the name of Jesus (as though if I were to give in to them somehow then a demon would find an opening to possess me or something), or to simply try to calm myself down because they were nothing more than unstable emotions that I was allowing to get the better of me. Like a broken, malfunctioning "fight or flight" response that was coming to me at times when the situation did not even call for it. If that makes any sense? But yeah, when you said that not knowing whether there is a real problem at hand or just anxiety "going off" ends up being the "absolute most horrible feeling" you have ever felt. I think I know what you mean. I mean, I don't think you are suffering the same problem I once did, or for the same reasons, but we did seem to share a common symptom involving emotional duress. So, just wanted to say I think that I can empathize with you there, for what it is worth. Again, Squeakers, if it can help at all - even the slightest little bit - just to know, we are all behind you on this. You are our friend after all, and one who is well-liked.

Man is never satisfied with what he has in this life. He always wants more.

I mean I believe we can get to a point and be happy and content to an extent. But still, scripture's always right, which is a sad thing to realize that's the reality we live in. I think the proverb can help us be a bit more satisfied and thankful, less covetous.

I didn't say you were wrong to not like basketball for that reason. just found it humorous that you felt football was innocent in that regard.
