Dude, you ultimately did the right thing. You had to know - so you found out. And now you know, you're exactly where you need to be. On a FRESH canvas. What most people would see as a disaster, you can now see as an opportunity. You can be anything in the world that you want.

You obviously have the skills of someone at management level - THAT can't ever be taken away from you. So you're not hopeless. If you were a rich kid who hadn't worked a day in your life, and didn't have the skills required to support yourself, then I'd be worried. But you've been at that level once and you did it by yourself. So I know you're going to be golden.

What you did is the very secret to success. It's all trial, error, failure, lessons learned, more trial more error, disappointment and defeat.

Eventually something will work, and it's because you've earned it by messing up enough times to know what not to do.

I only feel I have made right choices so far - resigning from my job (as I now realise the affect it was having on me) and also recognising that the course wasn't for me in the beginning.

I thought the course was the next door, but it's only a passage way, and that door has yet to be revealed.

For the first time in over 4 years, I feel free like a bird with wings, no burdens, no stress

Please pray I find a full time job soon. I can't take being poor anymore. Just dropped $20 out of my pocket and I'm realizing how much I needed that $20 yet now it's gone. Gonna be a hard month if I don't find a job soon.

I've done it in the past, it's too stressful for me to handle mentally. The type of work, the workload, the atmosphere, the types of people you're around and other things. I have a mental disorder and it limits the type of work I can do.

Plus it's incredibly physically demanding as well... I'm in good shape but it completely rattled me last time. The jobs are almost always extreme heavy labor - they work you to extreme lengths that I consider borderline slave labor for minimum wage. The bosses expect a lot out of you since they're paying for you personally for the day, and they work you a lot more than a regular employee.

They have light weight temp jobs too. Many that older people do, including older women.

Oh, nvm, we're talking about two different types of things. The temp work I'm talking about are guaranteed labor jobs that you just walk in, they assign you work, you go to work and after they give you a cheque right then and there minimum wage for your labor.

Why is it that I can only write report cards properly at 1 am?

My theory? My brain shuts off enough of my executive functioning that I stop overthinking and just throw something down. Which also means tomorrow when I re-read these comments I will be horrified...
