  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Seems like every 90's kid had a crush on the pink ranger.

Nope, for me it was the original Yellow Ranger - a.k.a Thuy Trang. Who is sadly no longer with us. She was a beautiful person

I find it quite hard now to watch back old episodes for that reason.

Yeah, I remember. She had died in a car accident a few years after her time on the show, didn't she? It was a pity.

Come to think, though, I recall reading a couple of articles from around the Internet that spoke of how there almost seemed to be a curse over the cast of the show in its earliest incarnation, because I think they documented at least two other people on the crew as having died since as well. One of them was the rotund guy who played the owner of the bar or whatever that place was where the rangers would hang out in most episodes. Ernie, was his character name?

My dad is at the airport on his way home. He claims he was too sick to see me the whole week and a half he was here. He also admitted it was partially because he wasn't sure how he'd react to seeing me. I am not really surprised, but still really upset. I kinda gave up after a week, on him calling me back. I hate my life.

 Please don't say that you hate your life, Punky. I know it sucks to have this happen to you, though.

It's very sad. I don't think she was much older than her mid-twenties either.

Ernie is news to me. I didn't know about him.

Recently back at work and already my manager is hinting to me to order pizzas. I told him if they want a pizza from me, one of them has to eat a jalapeno pepper I brought to work. They're almost $3.00 a pack so I'm willing to challenge them every time they want to abuse my generosity.

If they're that desperate for food, then I'll be entertained by their spice-induced suffering.

The doctor lost her iPad that we were using for check ins. I hope it wasn't stolen. She's suddenly being very cold and short to me. Guess she figures I took it.

And here I thought we were developing a good work relationship. Ah well...

Spiders. Most spiders are benevolent.

I hate spiders. They freak me out with their unnatural abomination of an appearance.

As for the benevolent part, try telling that to an Aussie.

I'm not an Aussie. Golden Orb spiders are beautiful. Spider webs are very beautiful.

No, most are beneficial. Some even eat other poisonous spiders. I remember the film Arachnophobia. It wasn't scary at all, just kind of silly.
I know, to be fair I have absolutely zero problem with spiders OUTSIDE. My problem is they have no respect for my house.... if they come inside its war. Outside, even on the house as a means to kill other bugs that might want in.... fine have to it eat all the bug guts you want.

They come inside..... there is no Geneva convention. I am judge jury and executioner and I strike without mercy. Guilty, guilty, guilty.

As Mr Miyagi said "They get a sqweesh just like grape."

I'll just pretend like today never happened...

I was just about to say the same thing. I did the unthinkable this morning and overslept - SPECTACULARLY.

Usually, I'm up in the morning just after 3:00, and I begin work at about half past, maybe quarter to four.

Did Reese hear one single alarm? No. So he wakes up, looks at his clock, and sees the time - 05:53. NOOOOO!!!

He hops down the stairs like a kangaroo as he puts his trousers on - almost tumbling down the entire staircase, and shoots out the door. That's bad enough. But then, it's -5 outside, so the milking parlour is frozen solid - pipes, tubes, hoses, everything. So I had to spent an hour thawing the bloody thing out.

The girls were far from amused. What a disastrous morning. I've never overslept for work. I'm still in a state of shock now.
