Omm: in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for y'all. I consider many of you to be friends- I talk about y'all, pray for you, and I know some of you pray for me too. Got back from meeting with my father. I talked with him and his new girlfriend and we plan on meeting up at his house on Friday to reclaim some childhood possessions of mine.
It went by very nicely. Much better than I thought it would.

Got my dessert for Thanksgiving all made. Only took four hours to make from start to finish, but it's definitely worth it.

Anyone ever been paintball shooting? Any advice?
Don't bother with paint grenades - they sound good in theory but if you miss your target then you've just blown a pretty penny. Even if you hit, it's still not that remarkable. So put all of your money into rounds of paintballs, you'll be better off.
Don't be a coward and hide behind a tree just for the sake of staying in. Because you'll be standing there for hours, and you won't actually experience any of the action. If you get shot, then stand there until you're plastered and make sure you shoot back before walking off.
ENSURE - and I can't stress this enough because it's vital, when you and your team mates huddle up for a debriefing, shoot one of your friends in the face at point bank. Seriously, it's the funniest thing you'll ever do. (Just make sure that his face is covered with eye protection!!)
When you have the final showdown FORGET the rules and just shoot at everything and take as many blows as you physically can. You'll wake up the next day looking like a dalmatian, but it's worth it.
Oh, and on a safety note, if your face protection/helmet comes off at ANY time, fall straight to the ground face first, cover yourself up and yell STOP. You'll get told to do that anyway I should think.
And yes, I have been paintballing.

Im thankful that I grew up when I did. I don't like that Im reaching "old man" status...... but worth it.
Im thankful that I grew up with Pat Morita's Mr Miyagi and NOT Jackie Chan's (No offense to Jackie.... he is awesome in his own right, but will never be Mr Miyagi.)

Unfortunately I didn't think to take any pics of it, but this is how one looks:
I guess thats what a life of fast food teaches you.
It DOES sound tasty though. The sound of a chocolate eclair cake awakens my inner fat boy.

Heavy, stodgy, moist, and spiced up fruitcake is what really does it for me. I'll give or take any other kind of baked food, but fruitcake done right will just make me melt - particularly if the dates and raisins have been drenched in brandy.
Christmas cake has that horrible fondant on top, so I'm not so keen on that. Genoa cake is more like it - it just needs to be modified to contain mainly fruit and as little cake influence as possible.
