  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

You have great faith. For the longest time, I have felt nothing but anger and anxiety towards God. Still do but nowhere near as intense. You really are an inspiration.

Today God has given me an opportunity to do some volunteer work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays while I'm out of work. It was all luck of the draw that I was present when this opportunity to serve.

God is indeed good. He does not want me to waste any time in serving him so he gives me options to better myself by being a blessing to others.
Oh boy, trust me, I'm far from an inspiration for anyone lol. Purely by his grace let me assure you.

That's great about volunteer work. What type?

If I could, I want to recommend scripture for you to read. Read Exodus 4:10-17.

At least you never made a topic titled, "Why does God hate me?" like I did. Not really the greatest display of faith if you ask me...

I met a special needs guy that my mother used to work with back when I was in high school with him. He was really excited to see me after all these years and has invited me to social events like the bowling alley and playing tabletop games at a cards & comics shop. I decided to take up his offer and spend time with him.

I have another special needs friend who likes to go to the theaters with me on weekends so this kind of work shouldn't be too difficult. It's also good for me since it's getting me out of the house and giving me more of a social life in return.

If I could, I want to recommend scripture for you to read. Read Exodus 4:10-17.

Thanks. I'll give it a read.

Why do you think people seem to find graveyards scary?
Agreed.

You wanna see scary, use a bathroom in a gas station...... THAT is true terror.

Use one of them...... you wont be afraid of anything ever again.

That's great man. Hope you have some quality time with him, and I'm sure he'll appreciate it greatly.

I have something of a praise that I feel inclined to reveal, that may sound like I am just being cute, but I honestly am grateful for it on a personal level. It's just the little things, I guess. :)

But, I was somewhat nervous about undergoing an endoscopy for the first time ever this morning (you know, where you have to be knocked out so they can put a camera down your throat?) to see if there might be a cause to my recurring acid reflux problems that have befallen me for several months now. Again, I have always felt more comfortable with a lady doctor for some reason, and when I first looked up a GI specialist for this problem, it appears I chose wisely. Dr. Behara is very patient and kind with me, and made it so that my procedure - however minor one it might be in comparison to most medical procedures - was completed with little trouble today, although I was informed upon waking up that at first my heart rate slowed to an unusual pace after I fell asleep from the anesthesia, but they corrected it with no lasting problems for me that I can see other than a slightly bruised feeling down in my throat that is only mildly unpleasant. ^_^

While waiting to see her and her staff who would be helping her with me this morning, I was also pleased to find that Dr. Behara's nurse who would call me back and take me through some prepping first was also the youngest and cutest nurse there. Please don't misunderstand; I am sure I would have been perfectly happy had it been any one of the other several nurses working in that part of the medical plaza who was taking care of me (I most certainly do not forego politeness and gentlemanly behavior just because the person serving me ever happens to be an older woman; a knight does not discriminate like that), but I am still thankful that I always seem to be tended to by a particularly pretty and pleasant-natured woman in these kinds of situations. Miss Megan as Dr. Behara's nurse was able to help me be at ease about the upcoming procedure with her cheerful and pleasant demeanor, as it had been a very long time since I had last ever needed to be unconscious from anesthesia while being operated upon in any way, and for that I am grateful to the Lord for what most people may see as the littlest things in life.

Ugh- Facebook ads are doing too well lately. Today I was directed to a site with the best tacky sweaters ever.. AND they had one with my school on it. The struggs are real and I'm failing :p

That's because Facebook tracks your browsing habits and sells information about you to advertisers.

Why work at a tea store when you can own it? Maybe it will be an option in the future if it is God's will. :)

Besides with the amount of tea you and I drink it would just be cheaper to own the store..... cause we would buy it anyway. :sput:

Need a business partner? I would love to have a tea shop :D

Hey, looks we have someone ready to hire! :p

Good that means we can leave them in charge of the store and we can go enjoy the life of being rich CEO tea moguls that we will be.
