CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thats terrible.
Well in future I wouldnt do that again. I mean not go away but make a different arrangement with someone else. Also it does pay to check on your petsitter every now and againas Ive done petsitting before where the owner never bothered to call or ring me to see how their pet was doing.

Nothing really goes on in Feb... and it's really cold and dry at that time, everyone's cranky because the winter was long and still isn't finished.
Fall and summer are good times to come. December too, if you like snow, Christmas time in Canada is pretty great.

My mum says shes thinking of going to her uncles 80th birthday in canada which is in feb and im like isnt that the coldest time of year?! What would you do?

I personally like snow and like winter, so I'd go haha. Just dress really warm

Ok well mum get really mad when I gave away her hiking boots (which used to be mine actually) as i thought she already had some that fit better.
They were the ones that nearly broke my ankles when I went tramping, anyway....
She was going to wear them in the snow in canada. So i apologised and gave her money for new ones, i dont know if shes truly forgiven me yet. Im thinking in canada you can easily buy new ones that are fit for the snow as surely all the shops would sell them.

Soda.......... why must you be...... addictive?
According to the fat loss calculator I cut out soda and I will lose at least 23 pounds (thats the low end since when I put in my actual Dr Pepper consumption it told me "please change the number as it is too high"
Yeah, thats my fault..... you asked my weekly Dr Pepper consumption.... if you wanted it in the low double digits you should have asked in a day.
But it told me at the most I could input into the calculator that Id lose 23 pounds.... not sure how long it would take but....... not only was I told by a algorithm generator that my Dr Pepper consumption was too high, but Swanny said "Thats gross" ...... so obviously I need to get rid of my addiction.
Too bad science has been dragging its feet by trying to clone sheep, finding ways to implant chips into people etc... instead of the important things..... like finding a way to make Dr Pepper healthy and better for your body than water, veggies and coconut water combined.....

I want my sexy and my dr pepper.

I said gross because I immediately thought of how my body would handle that, and I can say without a doubt - hospital.

Its only about 2200+ calories and about 200 grams of sugar a day.... *eyeroll*

In a way, my addiction to Dr Pepper is stronger than my addiction to nicotine......... both had their claws DEEP in me and for a time trying to cut either from my life makes me Dave (Soda instead of coffee) or Bill from "Newsradio" Id post the video directly.... but it has some language. Not TOO bad but still....I feel your pain.

I've actually been told that sugar is eight times more addictive than heroin. I've made several attempts to remove pop from my diet but it's like trying to quit smoking. After I'm done this ginger ale, I'm going to make another attempt to quit pop.
I'm just glad it ain't alcohol. I've seen what alcohol does to people and I'm thankful that I got the better end of the deal.
Also, in my mind I'm picturing God telling Adam, "Here's a sugar cane plant. It will do wonders in bringing flavor to your food and beverages. Use it responsibly."
Then the fall happened...

I already feel better today. I texted my coworker Mayela last night to let her know I could not be in today due to the bogus suspension, because that makes things harder to manage with a smaller crew in the lab than expected, and she agreed that it was uncalled for. She goes "What? How was that your fault?" And she assured me that, while she would be working on the can lines training the new girl Amber over the next two weeks, that if she got out of spec results on any product, then she would be sure to call it to our supervisor's attention instead of letting it go like I suspect the techs on the first shift had been. That way it will help my case that the issues that I got in trouble unjustly for are not due to any personal error of mine.

@Toro and @Wayholka I'm only just coming out of my pop addiction.
I thank God (literally - thank God) for that one... because I sure as can be wasn't coming out of it on my own. Pray about it if it's actually starting to bother you that much like it was me. I don't recall praying about the pop specifically but I did pray for better health and things of that nature. So I guess God was just like "Yup, enough pop."
For a bit there I was starting to gain some fat, lost sleep, teeth started to hurt more, spent wayyy too much money on "convenience pop"... I'm glad to be out of it.
