Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Emphasis here on many. I have many too, and like you, I sit here and ponder to myself why it's all happening - what good is it that I suffer when I'm trying my hardest to follow God and his ways and such.

Don't have those answers. Just have verses like that psalm.

The good is that you can help others who are in the same situation. When you go through it yourself, you are better equipped to help others.

Just think of Christ and how he suffered on this Earth. Hebrews 4:15 "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet he did not sin."

Still praying for you, Wayholka, and now for your family, that God will help you all get through the rough times that are made even harder to deal with because of the financial difficulty that comes with getting laid off and pay cut and such.

You truly are God's knight. It brings me much comfort knowing someone out there is continuously petitioning God to help me out in life.

It was not God's intention to have all this suffering in the world. We chose our own selfish desires over His policies and now we're paying the price for it.

It could be all the crap I've been eating and drinking this summer, it could be the lack of health concern I had while working in a very dirty environment, it could also be the lack of physical activity due to my addiction to the computer, or likely a combination of all of these.

I'll know soon either enough. An hour and a half from now, I'm getting this heart monitor off and the result will come in weeks from now.

Bringing comfort is just one of many ways you can help someone. Sometimes just letting someone know you care and empathize with what they're going through and are praying for them is enough.

This weeks outing was not as good as I want it to be. First I did not get out of here until late Monday and then I changed my plans from going to the buffalo to going to Roaring River since it was close. On Tuesday I got up and went fishing only to get burned and was miserable. Tuesday evening I decided to drive back to town to go to Celebrate Recovery and then I went back to camp and could not sleep do to my sunburn but the night was so beautiful and cool and peaceful even if I was miserable.

Stayed at camp all day Wednesday and read went to bed and was miserable do to my sunburn but the night was still beautiful and cool. Had raccoons break into camp over night and steal some chicken bones.

Woke up today and rolled everything up and threw it in the car and came home, I want my soft bed tonight. I am wanting to go backpacking into Hobbs Estates tomorrow (Friday) and set up camp 5 miles deep but I cant put a big load on my shoulders do to sunburn so I guess I will not be in the woods for bow opening day this Saturday, maybe next weekend.

I cant believe I got burned, it was not even that hot. O well, Bikes Blues and Bar-B-Q is this weekend so I will check that out.

God is good always.

I'm on my own for Christmas this year. It's just going to be me and the cows. I'd invite people over, but winter is the most crucial time of year for the farm and I can't be distracted.

So yeah, I won't see anybody at all. I do have New Years off though and I'm spending it in Amsterdam. So it's all good.

Oh, I do thoroughly enjoy it. And it helps that I'm immune to loneliness and sleep deprivation, because those are two aliments that would make being a herdsman seriously miserable if you're afflicted. You've got to be a funny sort of person really, which I am.

Two alimens I do suffer from though are a Christmas allergy and a family gathering intolerance. I don't know, I just get really strange symptoms, like a pain in the rear end when exposed to them.

But yeah, I'll be here over the Christmas period I suppose, posting my usual rubbish.

Went for a walk. Big mistake. I was walking home with my upper body swaying around ready to collapse. This time of year was my favorite for walks too.

My health is deteriorating and won't know why for weeks, I'm out of work at a bad financial time, I'm likely going to be increasingly housebound as time goes on and my mother is getting more irritable than normal lately due to all the stress.

I seriously hope this is just something as silly as an ear infection because right now I'm getting more unsettled by the day.
