lol ... time does cause a disconnect for me as well.
The ones that get me the most as a person creates a new account, posts one post .. people discuss for days.
Then years later a person makes a sincere comment to the OP which they never will come by to read.

Those threads make me laugh too. Also I had to learn how to look at the date of a thread before posting. I've seen people resurrect an old thread and people just start posting until someone comes along and says, “you guys this thread is 7 years old!” lol

Also I don't like “sock puppet” accounts...

It's not mine, either.

Even before I got married, I always said that I would never
get married. It was never a goal of mine.

Now, as a divorcee after 21 years of marriage (which, all
things considered, were not bad as far as marriages go), I'm
even more determined to remain single. Nothing against
my ex -- he's a great guy. My beef is more with the whole
wedlock (which sounds too much to me like "padlock")
thing. Too much "lock" in there. :D

This was on my mind and seeing there's no Scripture thread, I'm just gonna post it here...

Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I know there's a lot of sadness for some during this time of the year and it can be so very hard but maybe this Scripture can be of a little comfort if you can just remember that you are loved. It may sound trite but yes Jesus really does love you. You are not alone and you are not forgotten. You are in the prayers of the Beloved. :groupray:

If you don't know the Lord please read and do Romans 10:9-13. God is faithful and He will Save you. :amen::hug:

People need to learn to respect other people's Singleness. When we say we are content, we are. It's just that simple. Maybe you will never know what it is to live this life and be satisfied but some of us do. So please quit projecting on to us. Not only is it wrong but it's just plain rude. So please stop it.

When I was married, I had a few good relationships but now that I'm single I have more freinds and great relationships than I can keep up with.
With some churches teaching that if a guy gets married they are to cut off some relationships, especially the ones with ladies, I don't see that as loving people
as God told us to do. So I can't go there.
